What a day! I am not sure that I have ever seen those kinds of conditions all in one day. Constant wind, cold temperatures, sideways snow, and periods of sun. Every single one of you are major diehards in my book for enduring those conditions to play an event.
Thank you to everyone who came out. We have some great support this year from many businesses, including Evolution Discs, Arbor Brewing Company, Discraft, Mitten Bags, Krumm Graphic Design, and Zing Mini Discs. We are thankful for their support in helping us to make our events something that players want to come out to play.
Congratulations to all of our divisional winners. I snapped some photos and will make sure to post them on our social media platforms shortly. Congratulations also to Phil Common for winning the 50-50 (yesterday was also his birthday....nice way to celebrate). The Ace Pool throw off was won by Nate Krumm.
I intend to get scores posted today, along with submitting the TD report to the PDGA for inclusion in the next ratings update.
Our next event takes place at Rolling Hills on April 15/16 and is a MDGO Gold Level event. This split day event (some divisions play Saturday, others play Sunday) will have 24 Berths awarded to the amateur state championships. Those berths will be spread out among all divisions that qualify. The event is posted here on Disc Golf Scene for those who are interested.
Lastly, I want to thank everyone that came out to help. My Team WC Glow folks are the reason why events run so well. Their help in getting me setup in the morning, helping prepare the course, conducting Check-in, assisting players with player packs, and of course managing payouts all helps make the day run smooth. Thank you Nate Krumm, Bill Chapman, Jen Trombley, Phil Common, Katie Bramble, Drew Herron, Brandon Johnson, Matt Neal, and Chilly Chilson. Special thanks also to Todd Cavender from Saggy Britches who assisted all day with the event. I hope that you got a good look at the event process and I was able to answer your questions in detail. Looking forward to seeing your club's events posted in the future. I'll be there to support in whatever way I can.
