So this tournament filled in 5 minutes. I'm sure you would have a different opinion if you were one of the 20 extra people brought into the event by the expansion. The Tar Heel open will be June 3-4 if you still aren't happy, and that tournament will be the standard 18 hole layout. Finally ...

The Tar Heel open will be June 3-4 if you still aren't happy, and that tournament will be the standard 18 hole layout. Finally, if you really don't like the way a tournament is being run, feel free to step up and run one yourself. That way you can do things your way and live with the decisions. Let me tell you its way more work than you can imagine, but the offer is there. Reach out to me and I'll talk you through all the legal hoops of using UNCs course, registering with PDGA, organizing 100 people who always have some gripe with the tournament staff, etc. TDing is often a thankless job except for the rare person who mentions how much they appreciate the work we do. I stand behind Logan and if you are seriously this displeased, there are 8 people on the waitlist who would be happy to have your spot.
Everyone who signed up on time paid for one thing and are getting a lesser product, so I am compelled to voice my disappointment. The interest in this tourney is a testament to the course, and any potential modifications should have been outlined prior to registration.
And again I'm happy to issue you a refund sense you feel that you're receiving a lesser product. However, the benefits of expanding the tournament far surpassed the negatives which is why the decision was made. Nobody could have predicted that the tournament would draw the amount of intere ...

And again I'm happy to issue you a refund sense you feel that you're receiving a lesser product. However, the benefits of expanding the tournament far surpassed the negatives which is why the decision was made. Nobody could have predicted that the tournament would draw the amount of interest that it did. The "interest" that this tourney drew is in part due to the course, but is also in fact due to the fact that this is an established points series, one of which has been wildly successful thus far and one that each tour stop has filled with multiple people on the waitlist each time. Perhaps, its the 100% of net entry fee goes to payout, 75% of the field gets paid out instead of the suggested 45% per the PDGA, maybe its the massive prize pack that the champion of each division receives at the end of the series, maybe its the nearly $700 being donated to the UNC Disc Golf Team. You have well stated your displeasure, you have the option of showing up and playing anyway OR receiving a full refund. After all there are 7 people on the waitlist who are VERY hopeful to get in. Just as there were 20 people earlier this week who were VERY hopeful and grateful for the expansion. I will be issuing refunds to the remainder of the waitlisted people tonight at 9pm. Once that happens refunds will only be given if someone takes your spot in the event. If you're still wanting to participate in the event then we will see you Sunday. Sorry for your displeasure, cheers.
I hate to see someone be so negative. Everyone is here to play golf and have a good time. If you can't have that attitude maybe don't sign up for tournaments
Can’t please everyone, obviously.
I can issue you a refund if you’d like.
The tourney was advertised as 18 holes on the UNC course, so we signed up with that expectation. Now 4 of the best holes are 8 putter shots.
Calm down and just wait 8 more days. https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/UNC_Flex_Start_3_2023
Neat, but some of us have to work on week days.
Kinda have to agree, would've been nice to play the course I practiced for. But appreciate all the work everyone is doing though

If Matthew elects for the refund, I’m currently on the waitlist for MA2 but more than happy to fill his MA1 spot. Thanks for the hard work
