Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am really excited for Sunday and look forward to meeting you all. I want to share some information with you before the tournament Sunday. Hole Assignments have been posted.
Regarding weather - Looks like it is going to be a really nice day for disc golf. Today the area is receiving a fair amount of rain and a little snow. I have very little concern that there will be snow on the ground at this event, but it may be pretty muddy and slippery. There is concrete on the tee of all the holes except for 7A, so the tees you should be ok. Please just make sure you are being careful because we don't want anyone getting hurt. Please note that depending on how wet the course is in lieu of paint for some of the ob ,it may be flags. I won't know for sure till I get out to the property tomorrow.
Preferred Scoring method is on the PDGA Live Scoring app. The passcode is PPD2023. The best way is to have two people keep score at the same time to ensure that scoring on each hole is accurate. If at least one person does not have the ability to keep score on the live scoring app there will be paper scorecards available, but these are only if necessary.
All Am’s will need to check in and get their players pack between 8-8:45 am. There will be a variety of molds, but they will be first come first choice on molds from Lonestar Discs.
There will be a short players meeting from 8:45-8:55am. Tee off will be roughly 9:05-9:10 am
Course Info
There will be only one temp hole (Hole number 7B) and it will play between holes 7(7A for this layout) and 8 of the normal layout and plays on a small grass strip between the river and the road. The teepad will be marked with two pink flags (It will be wider then most tee pads, so that if it is muddy you have different footing choices). The teepad for 12 is indicated by flags on the sidewalk just past the main sign for the park.
Holes 14 and 16 partially share a fairway in the middle, so be aware of where players are.
The PDGA Live Scoring app will include all OB and special hole rules. I have also attached them to this email.
OB – On or over road means completely surrounded by the road/path or completely over it. I will draw a line in any questionable spots along the roads.
OB – Over painted line – means completely over the line. If it is touching the painted line the shot is still inbounds.
If you have any questions or rulings that cannot be decided by the card you can reach me on my cell phone at 217-413-6488 (Contact only if no decision can be made among your card).
After the first round there will be a one hour lunch after the last card comes of the course. I will send out an email advising of second round teetime and holes assignments.
After the second round there will be a brief winners ceremony. If there is no ace hit during the tournament there will be a throw off for the pot for all of those who paid in. If there are multiple aces hit all those who hit the ace will split the pot. If one person hits multiple aces and another person only hits 1 the pot will still be split 50/50.
All Cash CTP’s will be paid via paypal. All of the cash CTP’s will be amongst your own division except for MA50 and MA60 will share a CTP. ALL CTP’s will be in the first round only.
MPO- Hole 7A
MA1- Hole 5
MA2- Hole 8
MA3- Hole 9
MA4- Hole 1
MA40-Hole 2
MA50/60- Hole 4
All Pro’s will be paid via PayPal.
All Am Payouts (Funny money to the store) will be handled through DiscThrift after the second round. Further explanation at that time.
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
