Expensive AM fees, especially for a C tier and giving no player packs. Could you give a breakdown of said fees, so we know what we are paying so much for? Mar 1, 2023
Dustin Schneider Mar 2, 2023This is a very good question I would like to know as well.
richard scott Mar 2, 2023I’m sorry it was to be 45 like last tournament
Erik covington Mar 2, 2023So does that mean you won't give a breakdown? Nothing wrong with a little transparency
Dustin Schneider Mar 2, 2023There’s nothing wrong with transparency. As the tournament Director, you’re the ambassador for the tournament we are just asking questions that help us understand what’s going on.

The price was lowered to 45 like last tournament 45 dollars covers the players pool and trophy for first place pluse helps cover cost of fees for putting on the tournament . This is our second tournament and we are still learning and know one is trying to be rude or confrontational
Dustin Schneider Mar 3, 2023It’s not being confrontational. We are merely asking for transparency and accountability, both of which are well within our rights as players.

Can you give us a breakdown? The last tournament the TD got $2 from each player and there was a 2 disc player pack with a towel and it was a $35 event that was all done in one day. What I am getting from you is that you lowers the fees to $45 and you can put it back to $55 that’s not the point. For you that have a C tier tournament without a player pack that’s going to take two days that’s a lot of and let me be clear here TIME and Money. I can’t take off a whole weekend to just play 2 rounds because of the amount of time it’s going to take out the weekend. The TDR is a 2 day weekend but we are playing 3 courses and people are starting and players will be done in plenty of time and there is a player’s pack with discs and other stuff and they are giving a breakdown of what all the money is going for and too. This is not a very hard ask but I don’t see an answer to the question please provide a breakdown. If the fees are high to put on the tournament then we can see that, or if there is something else then we can see that, but if you just don’t want to give an answer then just say that. If you don’t answer the question then it leads me to come up with my own answers as well as everyone else. If your asking for my time and money to play in your tournament then don’t be sorry answer the question. The math just isn’t working for me. Whether it’s 45 or 55 dollars, I have to spend an entire weekend to only play 2 rounds of golf. With no players packs or breakdown of what these fees are going towards. I respectfully ask again for a breakdown of the fees.

It is a pdga sanctioned event witch is a 50 dollars fee 85% goes towards the players for payouts and trophy and 15% goes to pine valley disc golf course to put on the tournaments and maintenance for the corse that is the pdga guidelines
Will Francis Mar 13, 2023Woah. 15% to “put on the tournaments?” That implies that the host/td of the tournament is taking a cut from the registration fees, big yikes.
Will Francis Mar 13, 2023I’ve never played in a tournament, on a public parks property, that a percentage of the tournament registration fees goes towards the park. That’s a county fee, not a tournament fee.
richard scott Mar 15, 2023You can always go on the PDGA Live website and look at what we submitted last tournament or the spending cost and where all the money went because it will be the same for this tournament
