The final league night of January saw the introduction of the "Threes" Dice Game to determine putting style and number of stations for Round 2, along with the infamous "Wheel of Misfortune" for Round 3 that was spun to decide what type of basket would be used for the round for each player.
Some of the round scores definitely show the "misfortune" with quite a few players having deal with things like Offhand Putts or Mini Baskets. It also was our League Swap Meet and January Poker final draw. So, I'd say it was a busy night, especially with 26 players on hand, which is just about our weekly average.
Even with this trickery in play, Andy Martin was able to get another win, making 8 in 9 weeks AND became the first league player to have a PERFECT round, getting 15/15 on Round 1!! He then followed it up with a 14/15 Round 2 to set the pace and take the easy victory. Michael Carlile snags second on a solid night on another triple digit evening. Carter takes down third, followed by Nate Ross in 4th, and new-comer Jeremy C in 5th and last cash.
In B Pool, Evan M is able to easily grab another victory, despite having to deal with Backwards Putts in Round 2 and the Macro Basket in Round 3. Impressive considering he was still able to crack the 100-point mark with the "misfortune" in each round. Kyle K grabs 2nd place, followed by Emery F in 3rd, and Willie P in 4th and last cash in B Pool.
We are now into our last 5 weeks of the NEOIPL 2022/23 season!!! This means it's crunch time for those league points!!! Each week is valuable if you are in the running for the top 4-5 in points in each Pool. More details to come on that with the weekly Points Standings post.
Also, THERE IS NO LEAGUE ON VALENTINES DAY (2/14/23)!!!!!
