Rick Cramer: For those of you who were able to enjoy Hilltop DGC while it was in you are most limely aware of the efforts of Rick. While not a player himself from the outset, Rick saw disc golf as a positive activity and contacted the ADGA to help design and install a course on the hill. He donated his time and his own money to promoting the sport here and cultivated one of Alaska's most notable events for years. If you had the privilege of playing King of the Hill you know that Rick went all out to provide a great tournament experience not only for the local scene, but for traveling professionals as well. Due to his efforts many of us were able to meet some of the biggest names in the sport: Will Schusterick, Avery Jenkins, Dave Feldberg, Paige Pierce, Sarah Hokom, Rebecca Cox, Jeremy Koling, Nate Sexton, Cale Leiviska, Chandler Fry, Austin Hannum, and others I'm probably forgetting. I know that I miss the days of throwing big open shots on the hill as many of you also do. Thank you Rick for helping to put Alaska disc golf on the map, helping to provide an amazing course, and giving of yourself simply to see DG flourish here.

My apologies for the misspellings...made these posts on my phone and you can't edit them without deleting all the text. I think you'll know my intent though. I'm excited to see a new vigor within the club to continue advancing and growing DG here - we have some amazing people who have decided to engage themselves with the organization on a .ore dedicated level and it warms my heart to see it.
