24 Days!! - We are only 24 days away from the 2023 Gulf Coast Charity Open and I can hardly believe it.
As we have in previous weeks, I wanted to provide an update on what we are doing as well as some important information as we continue to approach our event date.
Cypress Point Park Update
Lots of news.
1st - A team of volunteers cleared roughly 3 tons of Brazilin Pepper from hole # 8 to reestablish the fairway as it was initially designed. Pictures are attached.
2nd - The lumber and hardware require to complete the short pad installation is being delivered to the city next week, which puts us that much closer to the pads being installed.
3rd - The city is also working a path install project around the northeast side of the course. From what I have been told it will "impact basket 11, pad 12, basket 13, pad 14". The full impacts are unknown, but the plan is that any required adjustments to these are made during the short pad install process and will be completed prior to the event. This means that the course may functionally change between now and the event.
Waitlist + Refund Process
- All drop requests between tomorrow and 2/3/23 will be facilitated with a 100% cash refund. Additionally, all amateur players will be given the opportunity to withhold refund for their custom wooden mini and/or cooler. Please note, there is nobody famous enough in this event where I can do anything with your custom mini - If you opt not to purchase, it will be thrown away. The following statement will herein be referred to as 'The Process' - These are not guaranteed and will be facilitated on a first come, first serve basis as stock allows. Players will have the opportunity to pick up these items at the Friday early check in at Maximo or have them shipped. All applicable shipping charges will be paid by the participant and shipping will commence after the event.
- Registration closes on 2/3/23.
- Between 2/3/23 and 2/10/23 all drops will be facilitated with a 100% cash refund ONLY if they can be backfilled from the waitlist. Additionally, all amateur players will be given the option to purchase their wooden mini and/or cooler. 'The Process' applies.
- On 2/10/23 all waitlisted participants will be refunded with a 100% cash refund or given the option to purchase their wooden mini and/or cooler. 'The Process' applies.
- After 2/10/23, any drop request will result in a player package only. Players will be responsible for arranging pickup or requesting shipping. Shipping charges will be paid by the participant and shipping will commence after the event.
