All of the divisions are being realigned for the 2023 season i.e. mixed amateur 1, 2, 3, & 4. Divisions are arbitrary because players choose their divisions, in most cases. I personally enjoy the option for more divisions in events with many participants but with less participation, the PDGA awards fewer points for placing well. I'd rather 10 in my division than 5 & 5. Bonus for playing with advanced players! Such great opportunity to pick up awesome skills & make friends.
