The Gorge is a long course and walk. I made the decision to let pros play it to see how long the round will take. We have limited daylight and 2 courses to play. If the timing works out this year, the Gorge will be in play for MA1. Shotgun starts are very difficult on the Gorge because of very long walks just to get to the starting hole. If it was tee times, no big deal. Cross State Doubles has always been 4 courses in 2 days and that, combined with shorter days, makes tee tiimes difficult. I have played the Gorge several times, it will take 4 hrs minimum.
