Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for your patience in getting the Celebration rescheduled. The PDGA has approved the dates of October 22nd and October 23rd. Thanks to Marcus Burks, TD of the Master’s tournament, for sharing the dates. He said that anyone that wanted to withdraw from his tournament would get a refund.
If this date does not work for you, we offer all Professional divisions a refund minus a $10 service fee (the service fee helps cover the park fees and porta potties for the event). If there were a waitlist, it would be a 100% refund. For the Amateur divisions, you will get a player’s pack. We do not offer cash refunds when the player’s pack has already been purchased, and there isn’t a waitlist.
Contrary to anonymous feedback to the PDGA, this was not my decision to postpone. The decision was made by the State Parks when they needed the park for heavy equipment staging. I was wavering because of the ash, but I didn’t have to make that decision. Each player's safety is my number one priority, and I would have probably postponed if the air quality wasn’t going to improve. The fires were a miserable situation that was out of everyone's hands.
Thank you to the firefighters and response team, and let’s hope the wildfires stay away! I hope to see you all in a few weeks!
