FYI - Boulder Ironman on Saturday. If you are attending the clinics or early check-in on Saturday, please be mindful of potential delays and plan your route accordingly.
(from the Daily Camera) Delays should be expected. Those needing to navigate around the Ironman course on Saturday are directed to take US 36 North, Foothills Highway, Colo. 66/Ute Highway, Jay Road, Airport Road, and/or Hover Road.
The Ironman 70.3 Boulder race this Saturday will disrupt roads as swimmers, cyclists and runners journey 70.3 miles around Boulder.
Select roads will be closed from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. with North 63rd Street between Monarch Road and Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway remaining closed until 5:30 p.m. The road closures include:
• Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway between 55th Street and Airport Road
• 63rd Street between Monarch Road and Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway.
• Niwot Road between State Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway and North 73rd Street.
• Nelson Road between 65th Street and 75th Street.
• Monarch Road between Colo. 119/Diagonal Highway and North 73rd Street.
• 75th Street between Rozena Drive and Colo. 66.
In addition, Boulder Reservoir will be closed for the route on Thursday afternoon and all day on Friday and Saturday. The full list of traffic impacts from the race can be found at ironman.com/im703-boulder-course.
