As we are a few days out from the event, we just wanted to send out a players info email. Hopefully this will have everything in it to answer any questions you may have.

Sunday, 7/24 will be the event at Williamsburg. It is going to be a PDGA 1 round event, with a shotgun start around 10a. We will play the the white tees and 26 holes.

Please park in the overflow parking when you get there so that there is parking available for those who rented the shelters. This area is over by holes 22-24. Check in will be over that way with a white tent set up.

Please plan accordingly with temps in the mid 90's expected. Bring lots of legal liquids, sunscreen, umbrellas, or whatever you need to help you perform at your best. As tempting as it is to want to take off your shirt tomorrow, PDGA rules/guidelines do not allow it. Feel free to wear tank tops or cut off tshirts. But you must wear a shirt during the rounds.

A few clarifications -
Hole 1 - there are 2 mando signs up. We are only using the one on the right, which makes it a mando left. Please ignore/disregard the other mando.

Hole 5 - Any water on the fairway of hole 5, or to the left in the marshy area, is considered casual water. The only water OB for that hole is in the river.

A special thanks to all the Williamsburg faithful for all their hard work. These folks take great pride in their course, and work hard to give the disc golf community a great challenge with some scenic and challenging holes. They have been working hard for weeks in preparation. It definitely doesn't go unnoticed. The course is well marked and labeled. Because of them, we will continue to have scheduled at the Burg this year and beyond. We respect and appreciate each one of them.

Also, the course has hills and rough, and a river next to it. It is easy to lose discs. Please for the sake of pace of play, use spotters wherever necessary. If a disc is lost, there is a 3 minute time limit and then you have to re-throw with penalty. Please please please don't be the group that log jams the whole course.

Here is the schedule of events. We will check people in by the parking lot. Look for Cheryl and I and a white tent with tables set up. This will be tournament central for before the event, during the break, and afterwards.

The schedule will look like this:
9-945a - Player Check In
10a - Shotgun start for round 1
Immediately following will be Awards and Ace Throw Off if not hit during the round

There will not be a players meeting. It is on each player to check in so we know you are here. It only takes a moment, and helps us to make sure each card is at the minimum of 3 per card. Please check in face to face with Cheryl or myself at the shelter.

Hole assignments will be posted by 8p Friday evening.

For all players who are in the ACE Fund, if it is not hit, we will do a throw off and the ACE Fund will go to the closest disc.

We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and then a secondary form of scoring per card (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: burg

Cards will be made of of primarily 4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division. Divisions of 5 will play together both rounds.

Please remember that all juniors 13 or younger are required to have a parent/guardian walk with them. If it is a situation where both the parent and junior are playing, please let me know so we can card you up together.

All Pro divisions will receive their payouts via PayPal and all AM's Crossover cash immediately following the completion of their divisions rounds. There will be merchandise on hand to exchange in the Crossover Cash.

It is on each player to know the PDGA rules and guidelines. It is on each card to make sure you are on the appropriate tee. It's easy to go to the wrong hole sometimes, so make sure the card confirms they are on the correct tee pad for each hole.
