Week 5 results are in! While we were surprised by a little rain at first, it ended up being a nice calm evening.
We had a packed field of 54 players, which has become the norm. Speaking of, we seem to be having concerns with funny business happening in the line. Unfortunately, I cannot police the line, so it's up to everyone in the line to make sure no one is cutting, holding spots, etc. If you see anything like that happen, please tell me. We need to be respectful of everyone that gets in line and waits until sign-ups begin. We've had back to back weeks now where people have been in line since 4:30, and are counting bags to ensure they'll get a spot, and somehow they're missing out. I will not tolerate people cutting in line or holding spots for friends. End rant.
Anyway, let's get back to disc golf.
The duo of Brody Cannon and Todd Ryan finished atop the leaderboard with a solo -16, securing them the First Place finish!
While there we lots of basket and chain hits during the round, and a Halo Polecat ace after the round (IYKYK), it was Josh Wendt and Dave Trost that stuck aces during league and got paid for it! Josh hit Hole 1, and Dave hit Hole 2. In addition to splitting the $54 Ace Pot, Dave's ace was also on the Ace Bounty hole of the night for pearl earrings! Thanks again to Sean McCarty of Shane Company for donating those!
We also had some sweet prizes up for grabs. We played the tricky Hole 3 over-the-fence temporary pin location for our CTP prize of an All Day Disc Golf hat and $20 gift card. Logan Robinson put one nearly under the basket to win. And on our lengthened Hole 4, Noah McDaniel cashed the Longest Putt on the marksman basket for a Next Adventure hat and a Hops N Hyzers Gateway Wizard. Nice shots, guys!
