John French: Not familiar with the course, but just walked to

Not familiar with the course, but just walked to check out the two water holes (#3 and #12) and OMG!! There is no way any of the 3 people on my team are good enough to do anything but lose discs on these 2 holes! Will there be a max score we can take on those holes and just skip them? Looking forward to playing this format, but we are all relatively new to the sport — so truly amateurs!!

Ok, I guess that is what we will have to do?? I mean I have 1 floating disc and my son has 1 also, but I don’t know that we can throw them well enough to clear the water. Plus, when we do throw them in the water, it will likely take too long to fish them out of the water. Need to have Kayaks or something in the water to retrieve floating discs - LOL

Jared Berry Jun 7, 2022 You can always pitch up to waters edge and throw from there if you'd like. Maybe I'll bring a "disc recovery raft" haha

Cameron/Jim/John/Jared: Ooops... sorry hit the return key too soon. I have a quick comment about holes 3 and 12 from the blue tees. I'm not a beginner, but I don't have a big arm either. I played a 'scouting' round from the blue tees, which i hadn't played before. John, yoiu're right, you can kinda pitch through/around for #12, but on #3 I laid up at water's edge and then proceeded to throw one of my 'go-to' discs into the lake. Maybe it just looked really long and I freaked, or the tail wind, but I'd rather not lose another, and there's really not much to shoot at going around it. I've played at least one other tournament there where they had an option for those opting out of throwing across - maybe throw 4th shot from drop zone on first landing area?.... just a suggestion... I don't know if John French and I are the only ones concerned.. (might prevent backups there too)..... thanks you guys for setting this up... looking forward to it!
