Hi Everyone! I hope you are all getting as excited for the 10th Annual Black Diamond Doubles Tourney this weekend as I am! In a year where we saw the Tee Pads completed, Alternate Basket locations added, and countless hours of course maintenance having been done, the course has literally NEVER looked better!!! I couldn’t be more thrilled to be running this event! I am hoping we make it the best one yet! We have been working hard to try and make sure we are prepared so the tourney runs as smoothly as possible! We run this tourney in a way to try to make sure everyone has fun no matter how well they play! I want players to have opportunities to win prizes in a few different ways, even if they are having an off day. Each division will also have 12 CTP’s to aim for! With that being said I wanted to reach out quick on a couple topics. First of the schedule and format for the best shot doubles day. Round One: All teams play the whole course which includes the original 18 plus 9 additional temp holes. Maps will be provided for the temp holes. These Temp holes are all short Ace-able holes! Round Two: Open and Advanced divisions play the front loop of Holes 1-9 including 4 temp holes. Intermediate team will play the Back Nine loop plus 5 additional temp holes. Tee assignments as of now are: Open - Gold both rounds Advanced - White tees the first round of 27 holes, Gold tees the second round of 13 holes Intermediate- White both rounds. Women will get a one tee advantage of the tee on each drive The hole layouts will be as follows: 1 Original 2 Alt pin 3Original (CTP) 4 Original 5 Alt pin 6 Alt pin 7 Long pin 7A (CTP) 7B (CTP) 7C (CTP) 7D (CTP) 8 Alt pin 9 Original (CTP) 10 Original (CTP) 11 Original 11A (CTP) 12 Alt 12 A (CTP) 13 Alt pin 13A (CTP) 13B (CTP) 13C (CTP) 14 Original 15 Original 16 Alt pin 17 Alt pin 18 Original After the second round if no ace is hit during the tourney, then we will have a throw off for the Monster Ace Pool. Following the throw off we will hand out awards and then hold the Big Raffle. This will be a very full and long day of golf and activities. For this day to run smoothly, we need everyone there to sign in as early as possible. Don’t be late!! We will not hold up the tourney if someone is not on time. Also when you arrive please park as close and orderly as possible. We need to fit a lot of vehicles in the parking lot. There is also at least 2 other large events going on in the park on the same day. So, we must make sure we respect each others events and participants. Especially in regards to parking. One event will be headquartered at "The Fieldhouse" between Hole 7B and 7C and the other will be headquartered at the shelter between hole 13 and 14. Here is our schedule: 7:30am - 8:30am Registration 8:45am - 9:00am Player's Meeting 9:15am - 2:15pm First round of 27 holes 2:15pm - 3:15pm Lunch Break 3:30pm - 6:15pm Second round of either 13-14 holes depending on division 6:30pm - 7:00pm Throw off for Monster Ace Pool (if needed) 7:00pm Awards and Raffles Please come prepared! Some snacks will be provided however the day is long and the lunch break will not be till you have completed 27 holes. Also please try to remember to keep a fast speed of play since there is so much golf to get through. We will be selling tickets for our Big Raffle through out the day. Prizes include, a Chainstar Lite Basket, gift card, disc golf bags, discs, hats, and much more! If you have any discs, merch, or anything else you would like to donate to the giveaways or raffle please consider donating a few items! I couldn’t run this tourney without the help of all you!
