Let's talk 2022 TWIZBEE Mid-season Championships for a minute shall we. I think it is time to serious thing up. In the past, we have found miscellaneous pre-loved trophies from various sources and widely different events and sizes of trophies. We are about to order REAL trophies for this event. I know. I can't believe it either.
June 23rd we are scheduled to play Hudson Mills. It looks like course TBD. That date is also the mid-point of our season. It is all about the timing. This year, TWIZBEE has two berths for the state championships Labor Day weekend in Ludington. We thought we would offer one up at the Mid-Season Championships on June 23rd. The round will be played as a regular round but the winner will win a berth and a nice trophy. There will also be trophies for the first and second runners up. And, as in all beauty, uh, disc golf contest of this sort, if the winner cannot fulfill their responsibilities as TWIZBEE rep at the state championships, that duty will fall to the first runner-up and then the second runner up.
But, there is a catch. In order to compete for the trophy and berth on June 23, you will have had to have played at least 4 rounds of TWIZBEE league play this season. We are not just going to let anyone show up on the 23rd and possibly win the berth. You will have had to shown that you not only believe in the TWIZBEE way of disc golf but be willing to show it how you conduct yourself as a human being. Well, that last part may be a little over the top, but you get the picture. Four TWIZBEE nights is all we ask. Oh yeah, and all scoring that night will be PAPER CARDS ONLY!!
That's it for now. I'll have more later. Thanks for your time and letting me go on and on and on.
