Champ Side, mixed basket layout - This will be listed in tonight's email and within the PDGA Live Scoring application. Comments on DiscGolfScene is NOT the official OB rulings list that you refer to. This is merely for notification and preparation.
Mixed Basket Placement
"On/Over Road" INCLUDES the gravel at the edges, the disc MUST BE TOUCHING GRASS/BREAKING THE PLANE to be considered safe in On/Over Road considerations. (Yes, this includes the "player benefit" clause that Nikko exploited at Worlds last year. A single blade of grass crossing over the disc will rule in the player's favor in the absence of a painted line. This precedent was officially set in Utah at the 2021 World Championships.)
Hole 1, par 5 - On/Over Road is OB, Ditch in center of fairway is Casual.
Hole 2, par 3 - No OB, Ditch in center of fairway is Casual.
Hole 3, par 4 - No OB, please be cautious of Hole 4's tee pad.
Hole 4, par 3 - No OB
Hole 5, par 4 - No OB. Ditch in center of fairway is Casual.
Hole 6, par 3 - Creek long of basket is OB, if Surrounded By Water.
Hole 7, par 4 - Creek in wrapping around and through fairway plays like a river. If you're surrounded by water, the card must agree where the disc exited play and you may take relief in relation to the OB. You get 1 meter. Discs crossing the creek are not OB when approaching the basket. I just personally feel sorry for those of you who throw that kind of shot. Discs coming to rest on top of the bridge are considered safe.
Hole 8, par 3 - Creek plays just like it does on Hole 7; like a river. If you're over the creek or dry with safe footing, it is safe, just not a good location. You must be surrounded by water to be considered OB.
Hole 9, par 4 - There is an OB creek on the far right that comes into play quite a bit down the fairway. I've seen some errant shots go into it, so if you're surrounded by water(within the natural boundaries of the creek, puddles in the fairway are safe), you're OB.
Hole 10, par 3 - On/Over Road is OB, Surrounded by water IN CREEK long and right of basket is OB. Over the creek is OB as well. TD Declaration: Best way to approach this hole is to consider anything past where the water comes into contact with the land closest to the basket OB.
Hole 11, par 4 - Inside creek, surrounded by water is OB. If for some reason you find yourself On/Over the road long of the fairway, you're OB, and I'm sorry for adding insult to injury.
Hole 12, par 5 - Shallow ditch running through the fairway is casual. On/Over Road is OB.
Hole 13, par 4 - No OB
Hole 14, par 4 - If for some reason you find yourself On/Over the roads, you're OB, and you're having a reaaaaaalllly rough day.
Hole 15, par 5 - There is a creek that wraps around the left side of the fairway and behind the basket. If you are inside that creek, surrounded by water, you are OB.
Hole 16, par 4 - No OB
Hole 17, par 4 - Service Road running along fairway near the basket is safe. On/Over Road long of the fairway OFF THE TEE is OB. Ditch throughout fairway and behind the basket is casual.
Hole 18, par 3 - Same Creek rules as Hole 7 and Hole 8. Surrounded by water is OB. On/Over Road long of basket is OB (99.99% of people won't throw there, but I include it because I saw someone do it, and even if you DID do it, you're better off re-teeing for 3.)
Par for the Course is 69 - 8,597 feet
