Happy Easter Weekend everyone,

We are now a few weeks into spring and the courses are getting busy again. Foxwood is also open again for the season and although it has been a wet cool spring the course is drying up nicely and ready to play. Might be time for some practice rounds soon.

This seemed like an ideal time to reach out to you all and share some updates about the schedule and other Foxwood Open stuff.

-Please remember you all signed up for a three day event that starts on Friday July 22, 2022.
-Each division will be playing one round each day.
-Please see attached the draft schedule for Friday. We are starting early, 7:30 and hoping the last groups tee off by 4pm.
-As we are only using the Big White for all three rounds we have exclusive use of that course Thursday to Sunday.
-Last year we ran a tight schedule and expect to do the same this year thanks to our Master of the Tee and Assistant TD Sean O'Reilly.

We have a full field, 224/224 and a big wait list, 77 people. So if by chance you are double booked, can't get the Friday off work, or signed up to ensure you have something to do in July but don't plan to come please let us know soon. All the people on the waitlist will be grateful.

As we are only using the Big White layout at Foxwood this year, that gives us the freedom to make some changes to suit the diversity of talent coming to compete. We plan to stretch a few of the holes for the big throwers, adjust the shape on a couple short ones and add some features to make it harder/more fun for you all. And just give you a heads up in case you plan a practice round soon we are going to add the Mando to hole 17, see the image attached.

In case you missed the news, all the Amateurs playing the Foxwood Open 2022 are now also attempting to qualify for the NADGT final event in Austin Texas.

Again this year we are thankful for all the support from our sponsors, in particular we want to thank Creemore for stepping up with even more support for the 2022 event.

Our sponsors are great, but our local club, Grand River Disc Golf is doing a ton again this year for the tournament. Recently Adam Hussey has been managing a fundraiser disc sale of the Innova Halo discs that were stamped recently. They feature a great piece of artwork by Jon of Crusoe Design Co. He is promising to release another batch soon.

If you have any specific questions or comments please email Sean O'Reilly or myself through this email address and we will do our best to respond efficiently. More general inquiries can be made through the comment section of Disc Golf Scene.

Hope you all get to play at least a bit this weekend. I already did a test flight at my new course project yesterday in that wind, Haute Goat, ...please check it out on Instagram or at the Haute Goat website. We are opening it this May. Hosting a NADGT event in early June that is already sold out.
