Hey Bill, I am hoping to start a new way of thinking when it comes to tournaments. Why not open all divisions for those that are underrepresented?
And yes I have heard every version as of why TDS won’t do it. If it has to do with trophy’s, charge an extra .50 per player.SHHHHH you don’t have to tell them you are doing that. This way if you really feel like you want to make an extra trophy, you are covered! I know for myself it is ALL about showing a presence on paper! I don’t mind playing on a card with younger, stronger gals or even the guys, but on paper it just looks like a card of women and speaking for myself on this occasion, one that played poorly or didn’t score as well as the others. Well here is a main reason for that. I’m 60, lived in areas with very few courses, and we have had harsh winters. I have played pro to at least show that us OGs are here and not going anywhere! Now this won’t be a topic for discussion in 10 years as long as the women in their 40s+ continue to play into their 50s and 60s+.
