Hey Robert, yes this is correct. We have adjusted the course down to 18 holes for this year. The holes that will be in play are 1-4, 7-8a, 11, 13-15, 17-19, 25-27. The tournament round will start on traditional Hole 1, and finish on Top of the World like we have in years past. We have adopted the 18 hole layout due to our partnership with the Disc Golf Pro Tour for the second weekend. We also did this so we could increase the overall player headcount for the Pro/Am. We have a player headcount that we must follow for the DGPT weekend, and with that, we are unable to host the age based Pro's during that weekend due to those requirements.

Thanks for the thoughtful and informative answer Matt. I’m certainly disappointed to have the great De La Veaga course further pared down. The course is the draw, not a beach town in the off season. It sounds like you have outside pressures forcing your hand. Perhaps next year the DGPT will not be throwing it’s weight around.
