Wow.....what a day! I have never quite had an event like today, lots of 1st for me. I have never given so many strokes in an event in my life. While I can't control most of these, it makes the job way less enjoyable. It's not the funnest thing to tell someone you're adding strokes, especially say turning a 1 into a 3. But even more than that it makes me wonder is it something in the air or could I have done a better job? I pride myself on running well organized clean events. I will spend some time reviewing today to make improvements moving forward. I know some for sure.
I found myself flustered at the end of the event. Cleaning up scores and trying to get payout and trophies issued I made another 1st for me. I use an import to issue AM payout. Well instead of grabbing the Payout column, I grabbed the round score column and paid you all your round score. I deactivated the original cards and issued new ones. If you had spent your card already, there is no need to worry about the over pay. This was my mistake.
We had 3 Aces hit today, and 2 of those were not in the Ace fund. Another first for Fairborn, I think.
Finally I've never had a lost and found that consists of 1 putter, a full stacked cart, and a set of car keys. Totally wild day.
