Some players use ribbons, but for the most part they aren't necessary. We do extensive work to groom and pack the snow for easier walking and to make it harder for discs to bury themselves. As long as it's not freshly falllen powder or you're not way off the fairway, discs are as findable as they are in summer. Just don't throw white.
