What to say about Hangover Bowl VII. Surreal, inspiring, hard….this event has taken on a life of its own that I can’t wrap my head around it sometimes. I know that I do a lot of work organizing and such, but truly it’s the community that really carries me through this event. The donations that we receive each year and the volunteer action (this year especially) are amazing.
Not being able to share this day with Josh, was the hardest part. I did the heavy lifting before the event, he did the heavy lifting the day of. He kept my head on straight and managed things, so could concentrate on the task at hand. I couldn’t have made through the without the Gone Discin.... Crew, Nicole Czajka (and her family), my family and the countless other that had our back.
We will have a grand total raised next week sometime, we have a general idea but we are waiting for all the funds to transfer in. I can tell you that we raised well north of $11,000. The Sponsorship’s packages were nearly sold out and raffle raised about $1200 more than years past. I….CAN…NOT….THANK…YOU…ALL…ENOUGH!
We will have something “official” coming out next week about amount raised and how we are splitting it up. Scores will be posted on the scene in the coming week. I handed out a few player cards when handing out the winning, so if I missed you when the scores are posted please let me know.
I have reached out to most sponsors, teams that could not make the event or if you had apparel paid for to ship you your banner/player packs/shirts. If I have not, please DM me.
