It came down to the final draws for this month, but Jim Petite hits the Full Boat (Jacks over 4s) to edge out Carter, who was sitting on Trip Aces after the first 3 draws. Jim snags the $64 pot for the month. Congrats!!
For the month of January, we will be doing a variation of Texas Hold Em. There is 4 weeks in the month, so the following cards will be drawn as follows:
Week 1 - Pocket
Week 2 - Pocket
Week 3 - 3 card Community Flop is drawn followed by each player drawing a "Pocket Turn" that won't be shared between all players.
Week 4 - "Pocket River"
Each player will who buys in will have 4 private cards that can be used with the Community Flop to make the best 5 card poker hand out of the 7 total cards. The best hand will win the pot. Buy in will be $5 for the month, with weeks 1-3 with a $1 entry and week 4 having a $2 entry. Entry can be paid up front, or weekly. And once you buy in, tentative cards will still be pulled for you. If you owe for those cards, you will need to pay for the entries missed before you see them. That way it keeps everything fair. And as always, if you miss a week after paying for the entire month, your cards will be drawn by a random player after all active weekly players cards have been pulled.
