Maybe take a survey of what players would rather do? I personally wouldn’t want to make the 2 and a half hour trip for one sanctioned round. I definitely understand wanting it to be played on New Years. But I would venture to say a lot of players would rather push it back to be able to play 2 rounds as opposed to 1. Most bang for their buck. Just a suggestion! Thanks for putting on the event!

My thoughts are you play it as scheduled unless a catastrophic event is scheduled to happen that day. That typically doesn’t happen as tornados pop up and we are far from a hurricane hitting. So use PDGA guidelines during the day to evaluate the situation for calling a rain delay or ending the event prematurely. I do not like the idea of calling it a ‘less than 2 full rounds’ before we even tee off. Pushing it a week ? There is no guarantee the weather would not be different. All in All - just my opinion that matters not than anyone else’s.
