Well given the layout on Udisc your playing has an overhead GPS map you can use it as a rangefinder as well. Maybe an optic range finder will be more accurate, but you also just press a button instead of pull out the RF, focus in and get a reading. It's really nice if you're out with some friends and want some quick readings. I get some people would rather have a Sport 850, but also consider that the entry fee is $130. A Sport 850 is $150 and the disc jockey speaker is $80. I don't know what kind strings they had to pull to even get the speakers but it also leaves room for a bigger players pack. I think the organizers are doing the best they can to make it special for us.
