Hello everyone, I've been informed that there is about 6-8 inches of snow at the course. We will still be playing the event, so if anyone is planning to withdraw we need to know as soon as possible.
For those of you still planning to brave the elements, there will be some changes. We will no longer have out of bounds on the course, with two exceptions. If you land in the ball field while playing hole 6, you are OB and play from where you were last in bounds. On hole 19 (ball field island hole), there will be a shoveled path on the baseline which will indicate the island's parameters. If your disc is touching any part of the shoveled area, or is within the island inside the shoveled area, you are in bounds. If you land in the snow outside the shoveled area, you are OB and proceed to the drop zone, which will also be shoveled.
As per PDGA rules, players are also allowed to utilize lights on their discs for this event as there is snow on the ground. We of course recommend that groups use spotters on all or most holes given the snow cover.
We'll see you all tomorrow! Drive safe and dress appropriately. : )
