Yea sorry Jordan. If you have these type of request in the future, make sure that you ask the TD well ahead and you will also need to ask again a week before of so. Its hard because the groupings are supposed to randomized, but also organized to help with the speed of play. Plus TD's have so many other tasks that take precedent over these requests. It is never expected that a TD will say yes, but often times with enough notice some of the TD's will try and accommodate, but its low on the priority list unless there is some underlying reasons why your grouping should be strongly considered. We did it all the time during the COVID mandates, but its a bit of a pain. I'm speaking from my own personal opinions here, but if you do have this request in the future, contact the TD directly and ask if at all possible can you play with so and so, but definitely not the day before.
