I think you are missing the point, you can make whatever excuse you want to still play in intermediate, I don't care, all I'm saying is there are other options like open or Am1 on the other day you can play in that actually match up with your rating. I also don't understand why you think 937 isn't open material but you also say that 937 shouldn't matter stroke wise in Am2, the average open player is rated 945 at this event, so less then a stroke better than your rating according to you
