Well here we are another season has kicked off with a BANG! I would like to thank everyone for coming out to support the Creekside Camo Crew and Friday Eve Rattlin Chains last night. Native would have been PROUD to see everyone that came out for him. I have a strong feeling he was there right beside us havin a GOOD TIME just like ol’ times. Hard to believe he is no longer with us but his Memory WILL live on at the Creek and through all of us.
Speaking of Memories, Mike Yokoham has access to some wood to make a memorial bench. He even offered to make it. He has made benches for other courses where he has lived and mentioned that he would love to make one for Native. Now, we just need to find a spot on the course that will not be impacted by future development at Creekside. If anyone knows the County’s plans for the William Fredrick Morrison DGC (Creekside) then hit me up to discuss.
The sport is growing and I am psyched seeing all the returning and new players this season. Reviewing the stats from last season, our starting round on 6/4 had 19 players. This year we had 41 players, 9 of which did not have tags. CRAZY, to see the growth in the sport and the Camo Crew this season. Looking forward to another Great Season with the CAMO CREW. The next batch of tags have been ordered and fingers crossed they will be here prior to next Thursday.
I would like to give a special THANKS to Nate, Steve and Erik for putting on the BBQ last night. That really hit the spot. I hope that everyone got to partake in the feast for the opening round. We will try and plan more BBQ’s this season and possibly some weekend events. Last year, a bunch of us camped at Jolley’s and lit up the course for GLOW. I believe there have been talks about doing that again. We will keep you posted.
I would also like to give a special THANKS to Ian, Native’s Buddy, for coming out and taking some action shots at Hole #4 last night. That was really cool to have him out with us last night. Hopefully, we can get him to come out and join the Camo Crew. But for now, I was glad to see him out with us. If you got an action shot and would like a copy let me know and I will reach out to Ian for copy.
The Camo Crew will be planning some GLOW rounds on Saturday Nights. Typically, they will start once it is dark. I will light up all the baskets and then we can grip it and rip it in the dark. I will let everyone know when we will be playing GLOW or you can hit me up to find out more. Tentatively, I am looking to GLOW this weekend, 6/5, once it gets dark. It has been getting dark close to 9pm so that is when we will be starting. I have some GLOW tape to share as well as an extra UV Light that can be used.
In the hopes of speeding things up, I would like to have a league check-in cut-off to be at 5:45pm in order to keep us on track for the 6pm tee time. So with that, if you arrive at 5:46 then you may not be able to play in that evenings round. So, make sure you are there by 5:30 in order to get checked in by 5:45pm or call me to let me know that you are running late. Chances are you can still play but it really helps if you can get there sooner than later.
I do want to let Players know the scoring was off last night. Initially, I thought scorecards were off but it was only me. I was using the 63 for the course PAR rather than 57. The scores listed below are based on a course PAR of 57. Some of the tags were missed handed out so sorry for that. I will make sure to tighten that up next week. But SHIT HAPPENS. As long as we have a GOOD TIME is ALL that counts.
Now onto the league results:
The CTP's for this week were 15A, 18 & 6 as well Slade put on the line, one of his BITCHIN dyed discs for the River Hole, #14. Here are the results of the CTP’s:
$1 CTP - Hole 15A - Houston
$2 CTP - Hole 18 - Alex
$3 CTP - Hole 6 – Evil
Dyed Disc CTP – Hole 14 – Mike Y.
Congrats to all that won the CTP's this week. I appreciate all those that brought the $1's and $5's, it makes it mucho easier on me when collecting the MULA before the round starts so continue to bring those 1's and 5's.
The results of the bag tag round is as follows:

Tag 36 – Eddie - 79
Tag 37 – Russman – 80
Tag 38 – Sarah – 84

Tag 40 – Robert – DNF
I would like to Congratulate Eric T. for winning the #1 tag with a -11 for a score of 46. Dude was on FIRE last night. We will need to up our games to take it away from him and I know we are all up for the CHALLENGE. We shall see how long he can hold onto it. But for now enjoy your time in the sun because the Storm Clouds are COMIN for you.
Last season, players were allowed to challenge other players for their tags in-between league nights. That will still be the case this season but we can talk more about it next week. If possible, when you do challenge another player, drop me a text to let me know who has which tags after the round.
The following players were unable to attend last nights round, but we will be hunting them out to challenge them for their tag:
Tag 10 - Trek
Tag 17 - Ian
Tag 19 – Big Rick
Tag 22 – Chris V.
Tag 31 – Steve F.
The following players joined the Camo Crew but no tags were available last night. So, they were able to play but could not win a tag, but they will soon. Here are the players with the tags and their scores from last night:
Loc – Tag 41 – 70
Jess – Tag 42 - 74
Scott – Tag 43 – No Score
RedEye – Tag 44 - 64
Jeremy – Tag 45 - 67
Rick – Tag 46 - 59
Rusty – Tag 47 - 62
Price – Tag 48 - 60
Charlie – Tag 49 – 55
I am holding on to tags for the following players:
Tag 8 - Evil
Tag 9 – Slade
Tag 28 – Troy
Tag 29 – Scotty P.
Tag 32 – Jon W.
Tag 39 – Easy
Tag 40 – Robert
You can hit me up for your tag next time I am on the course or before the round next week. If you are not able to make it next week then I will look to throw those tags into the mix during the next round, especially the low numbers.
If you lose your tag, then let me know and I will need to look at getting a replacement tag. The cost will be the same for the new tag, $10. So, if possible, take care not to lose it because it can be a hassle. Because a player will not be able to play for tags, participate in the Ace Pot or CTP’s until the new one comes in. Unfortunately, the next round of tags has been purchased so if a tag has been lost then you will need to wait until the next round of tags are needed.
As always, Thanks to all of you that came out and supported Friday Eve Rattlin Chains Bag Tag League last night. Looking forward to seeing you next Thursday Night or maybe even this Saturday for GLOW. Have Great Weekend and see you Friday Eve (Thursday Night) or out on the course, CHALLS.
