2010 / 2011 Sunnybrook Indoor Putting League status...

I hope everyone is having a great time at the 2010 / 2011 Sunnybrook Indoor Putting League.

I will be posting the results from last week and last night's play very soon. I now have the results for both so give me a day or two to format them and they will be posted. Thank you for your patience.

With the addition of Shawn Mascorro's program (Thank you Shawn!) I can't help but think that the weekly league format is running pretty smooth albeit a few hiccups every now and again. ... more

Week 13 - 47 Players!

Season Average: 42.77 Players per week

Congratulations to week 13 winners: Jameson Gauthier / Brandon Redmond

Last Monday we incorporated a “Margin of Win” points system as a factor for the tie-breaker.
This provided success at forming the Great 8 so we will continue with this for now.

Also, just to put it in writing so people know to show up on time or contact someone if you are on your way, we have changed to a first-come, first-serve registration.

Congratulations to Week 8 winners Enoch Lowry and Joe Gabris from the A Pool and Justin Lohr and Lori Mullen from the B Pool.

We had 35 players show up to putt and we divided everyone into A and B pools but did not integrate the two so the pools split up and only played each other. We put 14 in the A Pool and the B Pool had 21 players. As stated before, from now on, the Ghost gets to play from both ends and is his/her own partner. Congratulations to week 7 winners: Lance Bayliss and Ken Mango!

We had 45 people this past week and again ran the A / B / C pools.
This format, while the fairest, is still not perfect so a small meeting was helod to discuss future

formats. We still have a long way to go but the main agreement that was reached was that it is impossible

to go into a week with a pre-determined format not knowing who will attend. I have written the possible

Congratulations to week 6 winners: Ryan Herzog and Brian Hurley!

Based on attendance due to the Frozen Tundra we had this weekend and a real NFL game being played at Ford Field we ran an A/B pool. Bernie and Rooster are getting closer to a new format and when a few final details are ironed out we will give it a go.
There were a few (3 I think) Black Aces.

Week 5 will be the first Monday of December so we will run a straight A and B pool. Congratulations to week 3 winners: Ryan Herzog and Krystal Fromm
During the week I will be trying to make sure each person gets a point to keep track of how many weeks they have played. Those with the most weeks played will get the preference if/when we get more than 48 players at registration.
I am thinking that the first Monday of each month we will try running straight A and B pools. Most people I have told seem to like the idea of s different format once a week.

Week 2 - the field gets capped for the 1st time!!!

What can I say - we are still learning here so I have some homework to do. The baskets are situated but now we are looking to upgrade the 2 Innova DisCatchers with Chainstars. I have some leads so this will only improve. The registration process will get better by instituting the numbering system. Hopefully this can happen this week. I know I cannot predict the future but reserving spots will almost become a necessity if so many continue to love putting indoors and drinking and socializing and h ... more
