Once again as always some tight scores, and new faces. Why is it that is was so nice all week, then when Saturday morning hits it cold and windy? Any ways, I would first off like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Mike Alessi for being the first to hit an ace on hole 5 new pin position! What did he throw you ask? His Meteor. He takes home a mind blowing $57. Everyone is playing very well these days so that ace pot is not growing. :) Our CTP winners are Brett Porter hole 4, Corey P. hole 6, Andy Campbell ... more
Fun morning with perfect weather. Once again at least 5 new faces. Our CTP winners this week are Justin Holzer hole 2, Jack Burton hole 8, Gerry H. hole 11, Craig Dickerson hole 15.
We had a great morning today. Justin Holzer aced hole 8 this morning taking home 87. Our CTP winners were Mike Fortner hole 2, Justin Holzer hole 8, Mike Alessi holes 12 and 14. Good job everyone!

Only had 15 this morning but had close score so it made for some fun. CTP winners are hole 1 and 11 Raury and JK(partners), hole 4 Greg pothier, hole 15 Brett Portter. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and we will see you next weekend.
Also Disc Stalker and I are hosting a Toys for Tots dubs tourney Dec 3rd. $20 or a gift to play. Pro/AM first round random draw dubs(one pro one am), nice catered lunch, second round same partner but we will be playing singles. At the end we will be totaling up all 3 scores for your final team score. Should be fun and something different.
not only did we have the usual wind but our usual ace as well. that's right ANOTHER ace was hit on hole 3 by Mike Alessi, he got to take home $28 plus he took home a nice 1st place win, and the ace was a CTP hole as well. 6 out of the 14 teams thought we were shooting for 51's this morning. :) Our CTP winners this week were Mike Alessi hole 3, Brian Yoe hole 8, Patrick M. hole 12, and Al Fetta hole 15.
even with the crazy wind today there was yet another ace. Neal Siebert hit hole 12 taking home a $19 bank. CTP winners are Patrick M. hole 1, Matt Versola hole 4, David S. hole 11, and Brad Hammock hole 14.
Once again another ace was hit! Phillip Zakas nailed hole 14 and drained the ace fund 252. Nice job buddy! Not to take anything away from Phillips ace Nick Brost and Steve Young made a new dubs record and shot a 39. Nice job buddies!. Last but not least our CTP winners hole 3 Nick Brost, hole 10 TJ, hole 12 Al Fetta, hole 15 JR. See you guys tomorrow!
I was right, within a few weeks another ace will be hit! Congrats to Phillip Belt for hitting hole 8(218) this morning. Also congratulations to Rob Kelley for getting in a round of disc golf before his wedding this evening. :) I did not run dubs this morning due to my son's soccer game so I do not have CTP winners, but I did drive out to give Phillip his ace money. 30 people showed this morning and once again a hand full of new players came out to join us. See you guys next week!!
I will not be there this week(Sept. 10). My son has his first soccer game. CTP winners this week were hole 1 Brett Portter, hole 8 Dave Eve, hole 10 Zak Kemmer, and hole 14 David Martin.
Congratulations to Matt Rudzinski for nailing hole 5 today at dubs(243). Don't worry my friends still got plenty in the fund to pay out another. We all know the way Alex Dubs go and that is there will be another ace in a week or two. CTP winners this week hole 4 Cody Britton, hole 6 Brad Hammock, hole 11 Talor O'Sullivan, and hole 15 Chim Chim.
After being gone for at least 3 weeks it was good to back playing with Team Alexander. We had at least 8 new players show up this week. I can't believe that there was hardly no sign of wind this morning. Our CTP winners this week are Hole 2 Bobby Bausum, Hole 5 Mike Alessi(with an ace run), Hole 12 Brad Hammock, and hole 14 Mark Spaugh.
Sorry but I will not be at dubs again this weekend. Then the following Saturday the 6th will be the Alexander Aerial Armada 3 so the dubs action will be canceled, but thats ok cause all you guys should be playing in the tourney any ways. :) Have a good round this weekend and we will see you at the AAA3!
Thanks to al fetta for picking up the slack for me this morning. I will not be running dubs next week, I will be playing in the Monty Dubs. This bag is starting get heavy with the ace fund up pretty high again!
I just finished talking with Cody and he said Nathan Skinner and himself will be running singles every Tuesday night. Tee off at 6 please check in before 5:45. They will have an AM field and a PRO field so it is friendly to all skill levels. I think buy in for Am is $5 and Pro $10. If you could show up at 5pm this week to go over rules of the league that would help them help you to be a happy little disc golfer.
Not the scores I was expecting but it was still a very competitive morning. Three 45's, three 46's, and four 47's! Our Ctp winners this week are Mike Martin hole's 4 and 15(nice pay out), Hole 6 Dave Eves, and hole 13 Eric Fox. See ya next week!!
34 this week and as we all know that means big CTP payout! :) Our winners this week were Greg Pothier hole 1, Bobby Corn hole 8, Cody Britton hole 11, and Randy G. hole 14.
It's always nice to come back from vacation and win dubs! Brad was lucky to have me as a partner. :) Great turnout with 30 players and a hand full of new players as usual. Our CTP winners are Brad Hammock holes 2 and 6, Mike Martin hole 10, and Carter Honeycut hole 15.
Sign ups are up and running for the 2011 Aerial Armada III field open to 90 players. Chop also informed us today about today being the last day to sign up for the Gwinnett tag league. I believe he said $20. Also Cody wou ...

Another hot morning, but we managed to have 32 players. Looks like the number of the day was 47. Our CTP winners this week were Mike Alessi hole 1, Criag Dye hole 5, Adam S. hole 11, and John Ritger hole 13. I forgot to tell everyone I will not be here the next two Saturdays. I will be heading up to MA to visit family and to play in the Borderlands Spring Fling. My first B tier event. All you guys are great and I will try and represent for GA! To all you dads have a good fathers day and I will see you June 25th.
38 players nice turn out! Comcast South came out and did some camera work and played a round. They never played before, but are looking forward to getting into the game more. Lots of new faces today, and lots of old faces came to visit. We had some weird scores today. No wind, no rain, no snow and yet a 45 won today. I thought for sure 13 down would take it(that is what I told the Comcast Dude). CTP winners this week are Dustin P. hole 2, Paul Derr hole 6, Phillip Belt hole 12, Zak Kemmer hole 1 ... more
thanks to all that showed last week. i just picked up the stuff from last weeks dubs today so i have not yet updated the leader board. i did update the ace fund it is now $276
Calling all disc golfers!!!!! Comcast South has contacted me(Greg) to see if they could do a piece on disc golf. Well of course you know I said yes. They will be coming to the park Saturday the 28th for Team Alexander Dubs. Please come out and let people know that disc golf is bigger then they think. The piece is called "Unknown sports in Atlanta".
P.S. thanks to John Ritger for recommending me to Comcast
Gwinnett Parks are hosting disc at dark at Alexander on August 12th registration is $5 per person and you can register on line through www.gwinnettparks.com, click on the LIFE logo and it will take you to the registration screen.
So basically if you bring an umbrella it will not rain because we had a great morning. Again some tight scores and of course a few new faces came to play. Our CTP winners were Mike Alessi holes 4 and 13, David Martin hole 6, and Cody Britton hole 10. I want to give a big thanks to both Woody and Chop for running the action while I was AWOL. Oh crap I just remembered I will be out of town next weekend at Jekyll Island enjoying some fun in the sun with my family. So once again (for those of you that need help understanding what I'm mean) I will not be at dubs next week.DISC GOLF!!!
i will not be able to run doubles this week or next week. this sat my son has his last soccer game, and i can't miss that. the following weekend is GSSS#3 at McCurry. pm me If anyone is up for running the next few weeks that would help me out a bunch.
19 players showed this morning and as always we all had a good time. CTP winners this week are Ben Bolton hole 2, Greg Pothier took holes 5 and 14, and Woody did not have a problem holding hole 10 the whole round.
16 showed up today, and Phillip Belt cheated. He managed to get 3 out of 4 CTP's and took 1st. Our CTP winners this week are holes 4, 8 and 13 Phillip Belt, and hole 15 Kevin Rogers.
Well we took on the wind this morning and our scores show. I think that might have been one of the windiest days ever. We still managed to have 30 players. our CTP winners are hole 2 & 11 Matlack, hole 6 Woody, and hole 14 Cody Britton. Good to see everyone, and see you next week.
8 of us came out to play this morning, and the rain was not even that bad. Whats nice is we will never have a redraw when we flip discs. CTP winners today are Brina Grundleger hole 1, Chim hole 6, and Phillip Belt holes 12 and 15.
Well it started out pretty cold but that changed quick. We had a good turnout with 28 players, even with the Monty dubs today. Our CTP winners are Phillip Belt hole 1, Greg Pothier hole 5, Matt R. hole 11, and Brad Bowman hole 13.
40 players showed up to join in some early spring disc golf weather. That groundhog was not lying! All 20 teams shot under par, and we had a close call on the redraw but we managed to work it out. :) Congratulations to JK for hitting an ace on hole 2 today(326ft). Our CTP winners this week are Cody Britton hole 3, David Evans hole 8, Wayne Russell hole 10, and Mark Spaugh hole 14. Once again thanks to all regulars, and as always the hand full of new players for making Team Alexander the best doubles league in Gwinnett!
Thanks to all who showed, and thanks to a hand full of new players. Cody did a good job at running dubs for me while I was sucking at GSSS #1. He did manage to blow my record for no redraws this year. I had a hard time posting scores tonight because nobody put last names on the card. We have about 5 Mike's, Davids, Matt's, Chris's, I can go on and on. Any ways Cody wanted someone to hit and ace this week so he made front nine blue and back nine reds, but nobody could put it in the ... more
Thanks to all of you that continue to come out and try to hit that ace. The GSSS #1 will be his weekend so Cody is going to run dubs for me. I've been thinking Raury or Cody is going to hit an ace soon, but they keep on waisting them on the warm up shot. Our CTP winners were Nick Evens hole 2, Raury Seagreen hole 4 & 17, and Cody Britton hole 11. Have fun this Saturday the weather will be great. Oh and Cody keep the no redraw streak going! Also good luck to all Team Alexander players that are playing in the GSSS at Wills this weekend.
The weather is slowly warming up, so come out and try to take a chunk out of the ace fund. We had a good group come out this morning. The level of competition is very high, and a lot of the newer players(and some locals) are showing tremendous improvement. I really can't wait till spring comes! our CTP winners this week are Craig Hughes hole 1, Phillip Belt hole 6, $Dollar$ hole 10, and Greg Pothier hole 13.

this should be pretty fun!
It seemed like more work then fun today at Alexander, but everyone kept in good spirits. I think that might have been the windiest round yet. The ace fund keeps climbing, it's now at 533!!! Our CTP winner's this week Nathan Garner hole 5, Cody Britton hole 8, Justin Holtzer hole 12, and Gaddis hole 14.
Fun wet round today but 12 of us woke up this morning to play. Disc golf is always a good thing to do first to start out a new year. Our CTP winners this morning were Jason James hole 1, Josh Hendley hole 4 and 11, and Greg Pothier hole 15.
Team Alexanders elite came out to play this morning(don't look at the scores). Yes we only had 8, I really hope Redan was bumpin today. Not a whole lot of stuff happened today so here are the CTP's. Greg Pothier hole 2, Mike Alessie hole 8, Brett Portter hole 10, and Al Fetta hole 13. Thanks to all players who joined us this year, have a Happy Holiday and we will see you Jan 1st!
Thanks to those of you that came out even though we had some tempting action at Redan. We got real lucky with some great weather. Our CTP winners this week are Cody Britton hole 1, Brett Portter hole 5, Cody Britton hole 11, and Matt V. hole 14.
For some reason it just didn't feel like Saturday morning dubs due to no redraw, it threw me off a bit. The other thing is how amazed people were when they found out they get to keep the same partner they drew. It turned out to be a great morning with minimum winds. CTP winners are Nick Brost hole 4, Cody Britton hole 9, Al Fetta, hole 12, and Brett Portter hole 15.

So that was interesting, hey at least nobody shot in the 60's. I don't really have much to say about todays play, but the weather change from last week could have been the problem. Well thats what i am saying! CTP winners this week are Nathan Skinner hole 5, Taylor O'Sullivan hole 8, Al Fetta hole 10, and Greg Pothier hole 13. see ya next week!!
Glad i live in the south now other wise we would be playing in 30 degree weather in MA today. Again a few new faces joined us today, this sport is growing pretty fast. Plus that ace pot is ripe for the pickin'. All our CTP's changed hand a lot today, but our final pimps are, Nick Brost hole 1, Jon Plotkey hole 6, Brett Portter hole 11, and Raury Seagreen hole 15. Every one have a happy Thanksgiving and we will see you Saturday morning.
Thanks to Al Hause for running dubs on Sat. We had a guest from out of town, Rob Shaffer. He donated a disc for a CTP and Jon Plotky won it. Other CTP winners were David Martin hole 5, Raury Seagreen hole 8, Jon Plotky hole 10, and Brett Porter hole 12. Thanks every for helping me out with dubs while I have been busy with family stuff!
Reminder to all, we will not be having dubs next week due to the Gwinnett Open so sign up and play this great tourney.
Sorry I was not able to make last weeks round. Everyone had great scores, and all teams stayed under par! Just a reminder to sign up for the Gwinnett Open. Due to the course being closed we will not have action that day, Nov 13th. Al Hause is kind enough to run dubs for me this week(last game of eli's soccer season) so don't give him to hard of a time. :)
Seems like a redraw is almost mandatory every week. I think I might do it even if I do it right the first time, just cause I'm Greg. :) Well I'm happy to inform everyone we had another record broken by Brad Hammock today he shot a 39 and he was odd dog, plus he held on to two CTP's!!!! The down side to all of this is he was my partner before we had the redraw. CTP winners this week were Brad Hammock hole 2 and 15, Cody Britton hole 4, and Ed Jensen hole 12. Thanks for coming out on another perfect disc golf morning!
Perfect weather again this week. Saturday morning always brings great disc golf fun at Alexander park. Our CTP winners this week are Jeff B. hole 1, Patrick K. hole 6, Andrew Lofstrand hole 10, and Jon Plotky hole 14. Not much else to say so ummm, keep it real!
Great morning for some disc golf!! Small group again today, but the ace pot is still growing (315). We had some evenly matched teams today. Today's CTP winners were Taylor O'Sullivan hole 4, Greg Pothier hole 8, Al Fetta hole 13, and Ben Bolton hole 15. Thanks again for coming out guys.
Start thinking about the Gwinnett Open coming Nov. 13th. The field is open to 144 players this year. There will be active play on both parks all day, so if you want to play disc golf with a bunch of great players get yourself in!
First off thanks Brian for running the action for me this week on such short notice. Next week I will be out with you guys again! I hear that everyone had a good time, even with how fast that heat came. Our CTP holders for this week were PT on hole 2, Nick Brost took both hole 6 and hole 9(showoff), and Al Fetta took the cheese on hole12.
Two quick reminders, #1 Disc Stalker is hosting a free clinic on Sept 18th from 12:15 - 3:00.
#2 GDGO is hosting an Ace Race at Lenora Oct 2nd. Entry fee ...

So we had a good morning with a bit of overcast(we always like that). We have not seen wind like today's wind science spring. Good playing by all teams, and we did not have a single team shoot over par this week!!!!! There were no battles over CTP's today they were set and never taken (except hole 4 that change hand once). CTP winners are Mark "Cha-Ching" Spaugh hole 1, Justin Holzer(took it from Andrew Lofstrand) hole 4, Greg Pothier hole 10, and Woodrow hole 13.

two 47's, two 48's, and two 49's thats pretty cool. Kinda strange a 47 won it the way we have been crankin out some low scores lately. It was a very competitive morning any ways. Our CTP winners are Jesse R. hole 5, Al Hause hole 8, Brett Porter hole 11, and Jon Plotky hole 15.
Nice cool round today with no sun beating down on us. It's always good to see a few new faces every week. CTP winners this week are, Mr. W hole 2, Phillip Belt took two hole 6 and 14 ( i think he is try to get back at the course for that 1ft. loss in the big arm at the Aerial Armada), and Raury Seagreen parked hole 16. Good rounds today everyone, see you next week. OH, thanks again to all players supporting me and the GDGO and playing the Aerial Armada last week.
Nothing like disc golf in the summer here in GA. Nice tight scoring this morning. Even the ctp's were tight Cody Britton took both hole 2 and hole 10, Nick Brost took hole 6, and Mark Spaugh got hole 14. I have all the scores for last weeks dubs but because not everyone put last names on it so it's a bit hard for me to post. We need to start writing our full last names because we have to many people with the same names.
Next week I do not have any dubs scheduled due to the Alexande ...

Sorry for the delay folks. Busy weekend here. Good turnout and windy, status quo.
See you Saturday.

Congrats to Matt Dollar and Matt Rudzinski(big Matt and little Matt) for setting yet another dubs record at 13 down. We had a pretty go turnout even on 4th of July weekend! Our CTP winners this week are Matt Rudzinski (hole 4), Andrew Lofstrand (hole 8), Greg Pothier (hole 11), and Matt Versola (hole 17).
I want to remind everyone I am trying to get the sign ups going for the Alexander Aerial Armada 2 very soon. It will be Aug. 7th, and we will also have bonus events like big arm, putting, and accuracy. So mark it off on your calender and come join the fun!
Once again thank you for moving to Lenora to play Saturday morning dubs. what I want to know is what everyone thought of the new pin placements? Please feel free to post what you think on our page (if you can). See you next week at Alex!
This Saturday the 26th JR will run dubs at Lenora. Cool thing is we have 5 new pin positions that will be ready to be played. Here are the hole descriptions
#3 - to the left of the current position about 50' under the pecan tree
to the extreme left.
#10 - about 90' longer and just about 15' to the right. Just on the
edge of the slight rise. We think we can also use this position as an
alt to #12.
#13 - straight out from the teepad about 330'. It's direct ...

We had 18 show today, not bad for the GSSS #4 going on. CTP winner's are Kevin Sanders hole #1, Andrew Lofstrand hole #5, Chris T hole #10, and Mike Alessi hole #14.
Another reminder, next weeks bubs will be held at Lenora due to the Team Challenge at Alex in the morning. I would recommend making a 4 man team and coming out for some fun. It's a fund raiser for children and elderly that can't afford fees for park activities. 3 men and a woman is a recommended team, but if you ha ...

Ok so we had 35 people show today but thats not what the big deal is about. Not only did we have some sick scores, but we have a new Alexander doubles record of a 41, yes 13 down by Raury Seagreen and Dusty Jones. We also had yet another Ace this week on hole 4 by Steve Young, and if I heard him right this was his first ace. Congrats Steve!!! Now for our CTP winners....... we have Bryan C. taking hole 2, Raury Seagreen took hole 9, Al Fetta got hole 12, and Brett Portter took the last CTP on hol ... more
So we did have 46 players today, a new record! Let's start off with a big CONGRATS to Adam Marks for his ace on hole 6 today. Our CTP winner's this week were Taylor OSullivan hole 4, Matt Dollar hole 8, and Matt Rudzinski took both 10 and 13.
One more reminder, June 26th JR will run dubs at Lenora. Here are details of the tournament: Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation are holding some "TeamChallenge" events this year. The GDGO was asked to help run the Disc Golf event a ...

Congrats to Mike H. for taking first as odd dog(only the second time odd dog has won dubs). Charles Eldridge parked hole 2 for the CTP, then on the last CTP hole he beat out Greg for a second CTP on 15. Cody Britton hit his head on the basket marking his CTP on 11, and JR had no challenges on his CTP for hole 6. I apologize to Rob Kelley for turning him away this morning. We had already drawn chips Rob. I know you can never make everyone happy but I like to try. See you all next week!
Ok those of you that played last week at Lenora, I got your scores posted so if you want you can take the other post of your score out.
If you like a good play off you should have come this morning! We had seven out of seventeen teams shoot 47's this morning. Yeah a bit ridiculous, I agree(that's why I shot a 48). Thanks for dealing with my morning delays and we only finished 15 min. later then usual.
I also talked with Cody this morning and he told me they made a dope Safari layout at Central that they will be playing next Sunday the 29th at 4:00. Yes it will be doubles action.
We had 24 come out to Lenora yesterday!
A few special thank yous. Thanks to the gentleman who missed the draw last week and still came out to Lenora yesterday! Thanks Justin D (a junior) for coming out and joining us. Hope to see you and your Dad out there often. Thanks to the guys who stayed after our doubles to help out with the ladies clinic Bill had going on. Last but not least, thank you ALL who support our Saturday doubles!
See you back at Alex next week.
Nice turnout, fair scores and wind, just another great day of disc golf at the Alex! :)
Reminder, we will be at LENORA next week as the course at ALEX will be closed to the public.
My apologies to the three gentlemen who did not make it into today's action and thanks to the other 20 who were there on time. Please note, we draw numbers at 9:50 and tee off at 10:00. Once the numbers are drawn the action is closed.
good morning for some low scores! of course the rain held out for us once again. thanks to all for letting me play with my two boys tagging along. one more reminder about May 15th, we will be playing a Lenora due to the corporate challenge. those of you that are on discgolfscene and play in our dubs please send me your email and i can properly tag you. then all scores posted will go right to your wall.
funny thing is we had 10 players come out and we all fit on the leader board. thunder storms, ha we laugh in your face! i want to remind about MAY 15th. they are closing the park for a corporate challenge. so we are moving to lenora for that morning. AGAIN, MAY 15th.
Surprising 14 people showed up with the ALT Open going on! Fun groups today with of course some wonderful wind. Nice round Matt and Rob (-10).
What a perfect morning we had! For some reason we can't shake those play off holes, but that shows we have some great competition out on the course. Awesome work on the new kiosks the boy scouts made, and awesome job to all that keep Alexander neat and clean.
34 players came out today! Thank you all for making Team Alexander a very popular league. See you next week!
Just another windy day at Alexander. Good times and good scores, that's all we want! Thanks to all 39 players for coming out, again a handful of new faces. Another thank you to Andrew Lofstrand for making more of those cool voo doo chips.
Nice to see 22 people came to play at Alex today. It was a perfect day for disc golf. I just got back from the Crucible and it was SICK. Congrats Mark Spaugh for taking the intermediate players to school and winning the division, and winning the Ace/Eagle fund(well he split it with someone, but it was still cool). I will most likely be talking about this course for a few weeks so you will hear more about it when I see you on the course. Good playing today everyone, see you next week!
37 players came to play! Andrew those voo doo chips acted up again. CONGRATS to Nick Evans for hitting the 2nd ace in 2 weeks. He hit hole 11 for the rest of the ace pot(170). Oh yes and he hit it in flip flops. Good luck to all Team Alexander players that are playing the Crucible next weekend! DON'T FORGET TO SET YOUR CLOCK AHEAD!!!!
This was the morning! I will start out with a BIG congrats to Woody Blackwell for hitting the FIRST ACE of Team Alexanders random draw dubs on hole 4(248ft). Not only did he manage to ace hole 4 but that was also a CTP hole, PLUUUUSSS he won dubs action with a 42, aaannnd he got a disc that was donated by the GDGO to us for helping dig holes for the practice basket markers for CTP's as well. We will just start calling him "The Janitor" because he likes to clean up(he's squeak ... more
We will be drawing chips at 9:50am and teeing off at 10:00. Anyone that shows up after the chips are drawn will not be able to participate in the round. Thanks for all your cooperation!
Greg
My apologizes for the late post. I am afraid I am not as good as our leader at figuring out who you all are. If you see a mistake in the posting please bring it to my attention. Thanks.
As the weather is getting warmer (or is it that the Ace fund is getting bigger?) more players are coming out. We had another record turnout, 32. Hope to see even more of you next Saturday.
On a personal note I would like to thank all of you for making my solo TD experience a smooth one. Especially as the new 9:50 rule went into effect. Please spread the word.
What a wonderful day for disc golf!!! Even though GSSS #1 was scheduled for today we still had 28 players. All the new practice basket markers are in, and again a bunch of new members joined in the fun. Now that the good weather is starting to arrive I need everyone else to arrive on time as well. This is very important to me in order to run a smooth league. We will be drawing chips at 9:50am. After the chips are drawn we will NOT accept any more players, not even to be odd dog. So PLEASE everyo ... more
Team Alexander players are the official "mailmen" of disc golf. WE HAVE PLAYED IN JUST ABOUT ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS NOW! Big thanks to all 16 players that came out when the roads still had crap ice all over. We are not stupid we just love the game! :)
nice turnout for such a weird morning. wind, rain, a little more wind, well you know how it is it's Alexander. thanks to all 27 players that came out! a BIG thanks to Andrew Loftstrand for making those awesome CTP markers and the number chips(that i think might have some kinda voodoo on them). good luck to all team alexander players that are playing in the perkerson park ice bowl tomorrow!
Yeah it was pretty cold out today. We only had 5 people but we had fun. Next week will be record breaking again.
31 PLAYERS SHOWED THIS WEEK FOR DUBS!!! What a great morning! I never thought people would stop coming up over the hill. We had some players from Central Park make the trip, as well as some local pros. Even with the wind we still had some great scores. With 31 players you can't imagine how close the CTP's were. Thanks to all who made this morning awesome. See all of you and more next week!
Gotta love Team Alexander players. 21 people in the rain is always a good time! Lots of new faces this week, plus a few players came back to join us. We always have GREAT competition from all teams, and it's only going to get better as the weather gets warmer!
Thanks to the 6 of us this morning dubs was very fun. We even had some time to play on the ice on hole 17. Yeah it wanted to take Brian's Buzzz, but the ice was to thick. :)
Congratulations to Brad Bowman and PT for setting the Saturday Morning Dubs record at a 42(-12) this morning. We had a great turnout with 19 people. The funny thing is I don't think anyone got new discs for Christmas. Thanks to Team Alexander for making 2009 fun! See you in 2010!!!
Nice playing in the wind today everyone! We had some pretty evenly matched team again this week. A killer 48, two 53's, and three 57's. Andrew Loftstrand had a great ace run that hit the chains and came out on 10. He won league and took 2 CTP's! Lucky he had Carlos on his team. :)
Once Again Team Alexander shows no fear of the cold. We had some complaining from the 15 of us but we were all there ready to play. Also congrats to Amanda Bennett in being the first woman to join us in doubles. Maybe she will start a trend!
Thanks to all 15 that showed up today. A fantastic day for what is was supposed to be (rain and snow). Congrats to Brad Bouman to be the first odd dog to win Saturday Morning Dubs! Once again thanks to all that help make Saturday Morning Dubs a success!
By general consensus, starting Saturday Dec. 5th the Ace Fund will payout $1 per foot based on the distance of the aced hole or the total dollar amount in the Ace Fund, whichever is LESS.
For example, if you ace a 185 foot hole and the Ace fund has at least $185.00 you will be paid $185.00. If you ace a 185 foot hole and the Ace fund has less than $185.00 you will be paid all of the Ace Fund.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thanks to all for playing this morning, 26 people! Great scores posted by all teams, and some pretty competitive CTP's as well. We could not ask for better weather to play in. Also congrats to Derek Wonderly for winning our raffle for the GCO sponsorship disc and $10!
There was a three way tie for first place requiring a three way playoff. Chad and Brad took first place after the first playoff hole while Richard and Andrew took second after the third playoff hole. Congratulations to you all.
Thanks to all of you who joined us today especially the first timers. Looking forward to seeing you all next Saturday.
Thanks guys for keeping the Mixed Doubles going on a tournament weekend. I know we would have played in the tournament if they had had the room for us.
See you all next week. Looking forward to the war stories from the G.C.O.
Hey everyone 17 people this week, pretty good turnout. We are getting some pretty good competition out on the course! Pretty much every week we have new winners. We had some descent scores today with the course set up in the long tournament positions. Once again it is always a pleasure playing with all of you, and good luck to those of you participating in the G.C.O. next weekend.
Thanks to all that came out this morning! now that i'm dried off a bit i can post some scores. maybe next week it will be dry and we can start shooting real dubs scores. :)
By consensus we are changing the time to 10:00am. See you at 10 on the 24th(this saturday)
Hey Team Alexander! Thanks for coming out this week and playing even if the weather sucked. Congrats to Rob and Carlos with the win today on the playoff hole. To all you CTPers nice toss. I need team Mark Campbell and Noah Wellborns score, and i also need to know Ben's last name (no not Ben Bolton). Other then that everything is perfect. See you next week!
Saturday the 10th was a sad morning for dubs. Ben, Alan, and myself showed. I know the Flying Eye was a BIG factor. Can't wait for the big turn out this Saturday!
So what does everyone think of an ace pool? I am more then happy to continue running sat morning dubs. So it will mean there will only be one person running it, and one person holding the ace pot. There is a spot on this site that I can post how much we have in the ace fund so people can always be aware of how much is in it. $1 a week to put in, why not.
As of right now I do not have all our players names so I can't post all scores. I have most of us but probably looking for about 6 or 7 more people.

Perfect winter morning
Good to see everyone this morning, this was my first dubs round of the new year. We had 12 teams today and all finished under par. The competition is perfect! our CTP winners were PT hole 5, Mc 1,00,000 hole 6, Steve Young hole 12 (hit chains and spit out), and David Martin hole 15. See ya next week!
