Who: This league welcomes players of all ages and skill levels. If you’ve never played in a disc golf league before, it is suggested that you play with someone who has. Rounds must be played in groups of 3-5.
What: This is a singles, casual flex-start league meaning that players are able to play a round on their own time throughout week with a group of their choosing. Rounds are played at Phillips Park DGC next to Carrick High School.
When: League rounds can be played any time Monday – Friday while the sun is up. The league starts the week of April 4th and will end the week of September 26th
Scoring: Scoring must be tracked using the Udisc app. The Phillips Park league can be found in the Udisc app’s event page. To play, select the league, check in, and then create a scorecard with your group of 3-5. Only one member of each group needs to the Udisc app downloaded to keep track of scores. Note that a Udisc Pro account is NOT needed to play in this league.
This league is not PDGA sanctioned, but all PDGA rules are in effect for league rounds. If you are unfamiliar with the rules, try to find someone to play with who can teach you as you play along.
Course Layout: Unless told otherwise, league rounds will be done from the white (concrete) tees. Participants will play the set of 9 holes 2 times through for a total of 18 holes. On or over the path at the bottom of the hill and the parking lot/road at the top of the hill is out of bounds. Discs that land out of bounds must be played from where the disc was last in bounds with a penalty stroke added to the thrower’s score.
Divisions: This league offers 3 divisions: Open, Advanced, and Intermediate. Open is for the highest level of players, Advanced is for high level amatuers, and Intermediate is for more casual players. If you are a newer player or have never played a league round before, it is recommended that you play in Intermediate.
Entry Fee/Payouts/Credit: The entry fee to play each week is $5 to be paid via venmo (@forrealdoh). Please include your name/who you are paying for when sending venmo payments. $1 of the entry fee goes to an Ace pot and the rest goes towards payouts.
Each week, the ace pot is split among any players that get an ace during their league round. If nobody gets an ace, the ace pot will pushed to the next week.
The rest of the entry fee will get paid out to the top 40% of the field according to the PDGA payout structure. Payouts will be calculated each week and entered into a credit spreadsheet, so participants know how much money they have earned. Entry fees can be paid via credit if the participant prefers. Payouts will be paid out at the end of the year unless participants request otherwise. If players do not pay for their round before it is played and they do not have any credit, their score will be voided.
How to Play:
1. Find a group of 3-5 and agree on a time to meet up and play your round.
2. Venmo $5 to @forrealdoh. If you pay for your cardmates, make sure to include their names in the description.
3. When you are at the course, check-in on Udisc.
4. Create a scorecard under the Phillips Park League events page in Udisc and play your round!

Important League Announcement
Hello everyone! Sorry for all the announcements but I have 3 more things I wanted to bring up. Please read all the way through:
1. Out of Bounds:
I have gotten questions to clarify this since in past Phillips Park leagues, the OB has been different. The official OB is as follows:
• On/over the path at the bottom of the hill
• On/over the road and parking lot at the top of the hill
• On any playground equipment (near hole 6)

Hello everyone! Sorry for all the announcements but I have 3 more things I wanted to bring up. Please read all the way through:
1. Out of Bounds:
I have gotten questions to clarify this since in past Phillips Park leagues, the OB has been different. The official OB is as follows:
• On/over the path at the bottom of the hill
• On/over the road and parking lot at the top of the hill
• On any playground equipment (near hole 6)
• On the tennis and basketball courts (near hole 6)
I’m sure there are some areas that I am overlooking, but I will walk the course later this afternoon and make a more extensive list. With this being said, the following places are in bounds unless superseded by one of the areas listed prior:
• The lot down by hole 2’s basket
• The stairs going through the middle of the course
• The path that goes through hole 7.
This league is brand new so it may take some time to work out all the kinks. As a result, it’s possible that the OB areas will change, but I will do my best to keep everybody informed.
2. Hole 3 Tee Pad:
Since the new asphalt path was built at the bottom of the hill, this teepad often gets flooded. As a result, I am allowing players to tee off from the asphalt path. If a player chooses to do so, they must be between imaginary lines extended from the front and back of the existing teepad (see pictures). Unfortunately, I am not allowed to mark the area so it is up to each card to enforce this rule. Players may elect to tee off from this area whether or not the existing teepad is flooded. Since the tee area is technically OB, it should be noted that if a player’s disc never goes in bounds on their throw, the player must rethrow from the tee with a penalty stroke. I am hoping some time in the relatively near future, we will be able to put a new teepad in higher up the hill that doesn’t constantly flood.
3. Park Etiquette:
Please be mindful of other park users; they have just as much right to the park as disc golfers. NEVER throw if there is ANY chance your disc could hit someone. Also be careful throwing the disc on holes 3-5 as there are people’s homes directly adjacent to the course. The league directors are not liable for any property damage or bodily harm caused by a disc golfer. Please leave the course better than you find it. If you can, pick up trash and toss fallen tree limbs off the fairway. If the city sees us use the park appropriately, they will be more willing to work with us to improve the course.
