PDGA singles at Flynt? Say whaaaaa? Yeah das right.
Alright ya'll here's the scoop. This league will be PDGA sanctioned and run a 6 week cycle. The last week of this cycle will be 05/14, at which point the results will be submitted to the PDGA for officialdom.

The primary aim of this league is to:
Encourage PDGA participation and player rating development in the local area
Establish solid SSA's for both layouts at Mountainside
Provide an outlet for bag tag competition for our tag members
Encourage player development and equal opportunity through our handicap system
* Reward our most consistent performing tag holders through a point series
Yup, ya heard it here first. We're going to rock a handicap to get this league rolling. Here's what you need to know :
The first six weeks will be used as a trial to establish handicaps. The point series will not start during this 6 week session. Your $7 entry will be broken down as follows:
$5 to payout
$1 to ace pot
$1 to PDGA/Club Fees
IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH YOUR HANDICAP - YOU WILL NEED TO LOG TWO WEEKS OF SCORES
Handicaps will be established by taking your four most recent scores relative to par, averaging it and then multiplying by a factor of .9
2 examples:
Player A scores +1, +6, +2, +3 = 12 / 4 = 3 x .9 = 2.7 rounds to a handicap of 3
Player B scores -6, E, -4, -4 = -14 / 4 = 3.5 x .9 = 3.15 rounds to a handicap of -3
Payouts will be determined by handicapped scoring.
Tags will not be determined by handicapped scoring - they will follow raw score.
During this first league session - no handicap is required to play for payouts. Following sessions will require players to have an established handicap in order to compete for payouts. In future sessions those without handicaps will be required to pay the fees minus the payout portion.
Once handicaps are established there will be no need to have handicaps for women but until the handicaps are established we will have the following handicap in place for all women in attendance:
Coral : 4 strokes
Gold : 6 strokes
League fees will be increased for future sessions as the handicaps will allow for greater equality and enable anyone to win week to week. The increased buy in will also reflect a fee to be taken out for the point series. This point series will be available ONLY to tag holders. The fee however will be taken from everyone's buy in so you might as well get a tag!
Handicaps will have no impact on tags moving from one player to another each week and will also have no impact on your PDGA ratings each week.
