NorthRidge Disc Golf League - Fall/Winter

League cancelled

Due to the extreme lack of attendance the last few weeks Winter glow league is cancelled. However, as sone people still enjoy playing glow I would be more than happy to play any Tuesdays if we can get a guaranteed minimum of 4 teams, it takes at least an hour to set all the lights, and I’ve also received a couple comments on the payout not being worth showing for with less people.

Another question I have is how many of you would attend a putting league if a location is found? Again, the time it would take to prepare is just not worth putting into it for only 5 or 6 people. Thoughts please.
Hopefully I’ll have an opportunity to play a daytime round with some of you during the off season. Beginning in the Spring the league will be run by Mark G and Brian S. I would just like to say it has been an honor running the league for the last 5 years with such an amazing group of guys! Thank you for all the support you have given me. I’m looking forward to seeing the next level Mark and Brian will be taking us to!

Leagues tonight cancelled

A few of the people who normally show for glow are unable to make it this evening so leagues tonight are cancelled. See everyone next Tuesday at 5:30!

Nov 5 Random glow doubles

Tee off at 5 pm tonight. We have some glow tape and a couple black lights, but please bring some as well if you have them. We will meet near hole 11 and tee off from there to take advantage of any light we may have at the start. See you tonight!

I would recommend everyone to start on 10 or 11 so you'll get half the round done in daylight. We will try to set up some lights on 1-9ish. Bring some glow discs, black lights. We have some ufo an tape, but if you want something else like a light for your disc you'll probably have to get one either online or throw shop.

5:00 tee off tonight

By majority vote tee off tonight will be 5 pm. We have glow tape for discs but if you have your own or glow discs bring those along. Next week it will definitely be dark with the end of daylight savings time so we will vote on start time tonight.

So I'm charging myself an idiot fee

I was rushing with payouts with the wind and cold. I miss read the payouts and did 7 groups when it was 7 people 4 groups. So I ended up doing $50/$28/$20. I would've won the $20 so I put that back in the cashbox. The payout should've been $40/$16 a difference if $22. So I just stopped to atm to put another $20 plus a couple singles out of my own pocket back in to balance the book. Sorry about that. Not asking for it back. Enjoy my mistake. Just trying to be as transparent as possible.

Week 2

Tee off 5:15 starting tonight, random doubles. Playing long tees on 1, 6 and 12, shorts on the rest. Should have enough light through the entire round, but couldn’t hurt to have a glow disc or 2 just in case.

Week 1

Hey gang! Week 1 of unsanctioned play starts tonight at 5:30. For the first couple of weeks we will be playing random doubles, mixed long/short tee layout (TBD). If you have GLO discs make sure you bring them, especially as the season progresses. Now that sanctioned play is over we will also put to a vote tonight starting time between 5:30 and 6 pm as light is technically no longer a factor. See you tonight!
