Handicaps will have a short memory and be calculated based on the player’s last 3 rounds dropping the worst.
Handicap is based on a scratch score of 40, so everyone has a positive handicap to keep from the math getting weird (if someone averages better than -14 1. Good job! And 2. I will adjust the scratch sore). The scores cards will show an effective handicap to allow for easy manual score adding at the end of round.
If any of the positions to be paid out results in a tie the player with the lower handicap wins the tie, if both players have the same score and handicap they will throw off for the cash positions.
Scorecards will be preprinted and cardmates will be assigned based on scores from the previous round, this is to speed up starts since daylight will become an issue toward the end of the season.
The Spreadsheet that tracks and calculates handicaps and scores will be publicly shared for all to see and analyze.
Players who are late to join the season are still welcome. To set their initial handicap their first round handicap will be an average of lowest handicapped player and the field average, and their second round will be the average of their first round score and the handicap they used on their first round. This is to try to keep it fair for those who already have handicap set without discouraging new players from coming.
End of Season awards will be A custom printed Dynamic Discs Dyemax disc for the following categories:
1st Place in points
Most improved (from first player score calculated handicap to handicap after final round)
Lowest (best) ending handicap calculated at end of final round
To qualify for award you need to have at least 5 rounds scored.
A tie for points champion will be broke by lowest handicap.
A tie for lowest handicap or most improved will be broken by highest point total
