Schedule After Tournament.

This is the tentative schedule for rounds following the tournament. Trying to get some input on two things: A) Are there any courses already scheduled for dates that you cannot attend and would like to play? B) Looking for suggestions on courses to play on those travel weeks so that we can give everyone enough time to plan on attending.

Scores

Sorry for the delay in posting scores. Also, I only have Ken's score from the round at BobMo this week. If anyone else has their scores, definitely send them over and I'll get them posted.

Ch ch ch ch changes..!

So with my obligations with grad school and all that jazz, I'm going to get Matt D more involved in running things. As of now, he is in charge of the league schedule and course rotation. We've talked quite a bit about a schedule format that rotates between local courses and courses that aren't as close. Also, there will be some changes to the scoring format after the tournament. I'm thinking that with so many changes coming, we will declare a "first half winner" fol ... more

Obviously, we're all grateful for the work you've done to keep this thing running smoothly. I think splitting the year into 2 'seasons' with the tournament in the middle is an excellent idea. I'd be happy to work with Matt to make any necessary changes or help promote the league.

Tournament prizes

Currently looking for any disc golf related stuff that people might be willing to donate to build up the prize pool for the tournament. Be sure to let me know if you have anything.

What aboot the Lazer? It's not new, but I have no desire to use it.

I mean, you can offer it to someone to see if they want it.

I just ordered 2 MVP Nanos (minis) for first and second place.

In the event of a tie..

Ken and Tony tied today within the handicap system. I had considered reverting to raw score to settle it but I decided that Tony's play today within the system shouldn't just be written off like that. Therefore, from now on, in the even of a tie within a head-to-head league match such as what happened today, each player will be awarded a point each. What does everyone else think of this rule? Do you guys think it is a fair way to remedy a tie? I'm open to other suggestions for future situations.

More specifically I feel that in any tying scenario each player still deserves a point while still trying to determine an overall winner. If by some extremely rare chance they manage to tie front, back, and overall score post-handicap, they are deserving of 3 points each. Have those two players shoo ... more

It works out to ties for both front and back nines, too.

April 28

Just a reminder that this week at the Air Zoo will hopefully be a double header with two separate player pairings for each round. If time becomes an issue we can always call of the 2nd round if needed.
