SCHEDULE:
League rounds will take place on Wednesday evenings at 1830 hours (6:30pm) unless stated otherwise and are subject to change. Every effort will be made to avoid last minute cancellations but depends on volunteer availability. As soon as it is known that there is a change to a scheduled round the entire league will be notified via email, as well as announcements posted here, and on the HDGA Facebook page.
+++Once you have let another player know they have been challenged, please post the details of the challenge (as well as results) in the comments of the league page on disc golf scene or send them directly to Matt Goodfellow at [email redacted] or txt to 780-223-8963. This is so leaderboards can stay current and timelines/attendance can be verified.

RULES:
Tags are to be clipped to your Disc Golf Bag and made visible at all times except when exchanging them or at league night. If player does not use a bag then clipped to their person where it can be easily seen.
Tags will be collected on league nights (except random doubles) and redistributed after the round depending on scores. The new leaderboard standings will then be updated online as soon as possible.
Any round of (singles only) play outside of bag tag night can be used to challenge another tagged player.
If you are challenged by a higher number than yourself you MUST play the match within 2 weeks from the date of issue. Failing to do so without good reason (determined by TD) will be considered a forfeit and will be tracked as such online when its time for awards.
Challenge rounds CAN be played on any course, but it is only mandatory to accept those made in Hinton. Challenger must accommodate lower number player in regards to scheduling and playing the round in the 14 day period or challenge will be considered null and void - Basically be reasonable with your demands and expectations.
Any two players with tags together in a round should be playing for tags if they intend to keep score - Both parties must be aware of this prior to the round to enforce..
Players must set and agree to the terms/rules of their match prior to teeing off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PRIZE ELIGIBILITY:
To avoid people from getting a low tag and then disappearing I've come up with some stipulations to collect prizes.
IN ORDER TO WIN: Only those who attend at LEAST THREE (3) OFFICIAL LEAGUE NIGHTS during the scheduled season will be eligible for prizes at season's conclusion. Tags also only count (for prizes) if they have been defended in at least one 18-hole round.
*Eg. You beat the number 1 player and tag his/her tag. You will have to defend the tag at lease once to truly call it yours and collect a prize.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ADDITIONAL INFO:
Fee's will be split 20/80 going toward course needs and end of season prizes (20% to course / 80% to player).
Please Join Disc Golf Scene as it will be the official space for league matters, now and likely into the foreseeable future - although efforts will be made to share on the Association Facebook too.
The easiest way to keep track of everything is to post details of your challenges in the comments here, as well as the results of any eligible rounds so that rankings can be updated asap..
CTP challenges, longest putts, and other mini competitions will be decided based on attendance by the league official overseeing the round.
Disputes will be settled by League Administrator.
Lost/Damaged Tags can be replaced for 5$ fee- Contact: Matt - [email redacted]
Since players can set their own rules for each challenge match among themselves, it is recommended that at least 1 other party be present to witness the round. However; this is not mandatory.
At the end of the year the top tags (how many will depend on total sold) will win either a prize, a trophy, or both based on number of participants. As long as they have participated in 3 league events and defended their tag in one full round of challenge play.
Ace Pool - 80% payout - One time fee.
If at end of season nobody hits an Ace, an Ace Race will be held. Each player gets 2 attempts and first to Ace plus 2 closest to the pin will split the pot 50/30/20.
And Finally ....
The person who has the most fun wins!
