End of Season High Low Doubles

Our 2019-2020 season's End of Season High Low Doubles will be Saturday September 19th.

This tournament is for PAID MEMBERS WITH 5+ LEAGUE ROUNDS ONLY.

Sign in is from 8-9am. You must check in with me in order to play. No late registrations will be accepted.

Player meeting/ hole assignments will be at 9:45.

This year will be difficult than past years. No potluck and no league provided beer.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH is the high low doubles for 2019-2020. 2 weekends before league starts.

Player Packs

I still have all of the unclaimed player packs from this season. I am willing to meet players at Fallasburg outside of my normal M-F 8-5 work hours. Please send me a message on Facebook Messenger, if possible, to schedule a time to get your player pack. Disc Golf Scene does not send me emails when someone sends me a message. (I have my settings to send me messages, but it still doesn't).

End of Season potential reschedule date

Hopefully we can hold the end of season high low doubles Saturday June 20th. I have added that to the tournaments on Disc Golf Scene.

League Cancelled for 3/29

Due to the new 3 Week Stay Home Order by the governor our final league day is cancelled. I will update more on an end of season party once the COVID-19 is more under control.

End of Season High Low Doubles is postponed.

With the newest restrictions and governor order we will have to postpone the end of season party (New date to be determined). I will still hold the last 2 weeks of league (trying to get player packs handed out discs should be in this week). Over a 5 hour sign in we get about 20-25 players per hour which falls within guidelines. This decision was not made easily. I will update more when we know more.

End of Season and League Rounds

To stay in compliance with the new CDC recommendations this season's end of season tournament will not include a potluck or a keg. Card size for the end of season will be 6-8 players which is well within the guidelines.

With league sign in from 8am-1pm we do not have 50 people gathered all at once. I will still be hosting league for the next 2 weeks. Again we are an outdoor non contact sport.

Saturday April 4th will only be 1 round best shot doubles and jumbo putt while I tally scores. I hate this idea as much as players do.

Sign in will still be 9am-10am on the April 4th.

I am still waiting for discs to come in, once they are in I will start handing out player packs. This year to reduce people crowding the table I will not have discs out to choose from. To give players at least a little choice you will get to choose Driver, Midrange or Putter and be handed one. If you don't like the disc you get you can trade it with another player.

If you are sick please stay home. I am encouraging players to bring something prepackaged as their dish for the potluck. Hand sanitizer will be available as always (please use it).

Sign in will be 9am-10am with a player meeting and card assignments around 10:30. We will only be playing the regular 18 holes since those were the holes played during leagues and tee pads are cemented.

Memberships

I ordered 190 hoodies this year, we had 165 members when I ordered. Currently our memberships are at 180. Many people have not paid yet. Those 10 remaining hoodies are being claimed quickly. IF you pay your membership after the last hoodie is claimed you will NOT be guaranteed a hoodie from this season.

End of Season

Reminder as the end of season approaches you must be a fully paid member to play the end of season high low doubles. Hoodies were ordered on Thursday. I did order a few extras. No guarantee that you will get your preffered size if you pay late. I do not accept memberships the week of the party (I have too much prep to do to worry about late pays).

FWL Family

Last Sunday we lost another member of our disc golf family. Matt Alofs had been a part of Fallasburg Winter League for years. A memorial tournament is in the works to honor Matt. More tournament details will be available closer to the date. This Saturday Feb 15, GRDOD is also holding a raffle during the Winter Games to help Matt's family with expenses.

Codie Mac Tournament Sat Dec 7

Codie McConnell (one of our league members) was hurt in a skiing accident last weekend. He will be off work for the next 4-6 months.

There will be a Bring Your Own Partner charity tournament and raffle Saturday Dec 7th at Fallasburg to help raise money for him during this time.

I will be accepting donations (merch and/or cash during leagues leading up to the event. Please donate if you can. Please also come to the tourney and support.

Last names. & group sizes

1st- please put first and last names names on scorecards. I must post by last name it doesn't matter if you have a unique first name i still need a last name.

2nd- groups must be 3-5 players for speed of play and honesty. I will not award any prizes to someone who decided to play as a card of 2.

3rd- please do not play the alternate holes during your round. It slows league play down even more than normal.
