We had 12 teams last night at Burns Red for Draw Dubs league. Great turnout! Touring Pro and 1009-rated Luke Humpries came out to get in on the action. Shawn G and Jim H were not rattled though, as they turned in a smoking 13 down. It ended up being just one stroke short of Luke and Taylor P's 14 down, though. Great scores! Alfred C / Tom Coffin beat Robert Petit/James Lecy in a CTP throwoff for 3rd.
Back to Reservoir next week. Ace Pot grows to $69.
Dubs league was fun last night. We had a good turnout, with 21 people showing up. Cameron Banks was randomly chosen as the Cali-style player, and had a great performance. He tied for first with Randall Palmer and John Sanders, but was able to clinch 1st place points/cash with a CTP throwoff on Red #1. Both of those teams shot a smokin' hot 11 under. Zachary Scott and Charles McCracken came in 3rd, with a great 9 under. They took home a little cash for their efforts.
Cam also hit an ace o ...

Scores were tight last night at Rez at Draw Dubs. 4 strokes separated everyone. Jim H and myself tied with John S and Michael McC at 6 down. We barely won the CTP throwoff to take first place cash and points. Ben Hansen (playing Cali) tied at 5 down with Adrian Bozeman and Robbie Shaw. They also did a CTP throwoff, with Robbie getting closest.
We're getting a few more juniors out! Last night, Randall's son, John, played on his team, and apparently they used quite a few of his ...

We had a great turnout last night for Draw Dubs! I believe it was the best Wednesday night turnout since we started. We had 29 people, which made for 15 teams, with one person (me) playing Cali. The weather was perfect, the course looked great. It was a great night for disc golf. There were quite a few new faces (to me) last night, which was awesome! The midpoint ratings cutoff was about 860 last night. So, if you are that or above, you were drawn on the pro side. I believe that's ab ... more
We had a good turnout for the first official week of Draw Dubs. There were 11 teams, with one person (Austin) playing Cali. 6 down was the score to beat. Jim and Wes did that after 7 holes amazingly, then decided to give everyone else a chance. All four six-down teams did a CTP throwoff on Hole 4 in the dark, with Brad's disc taking it at about 4ft. Nick hit an $81 ace on hole 6!

Just missed the Rain at Rez
The rain moved out just in time for Draw Dubs last night. However, my shirt was 100% saturated in sweat within 5 minutes of start time, so there's that. There were no ties/playoffs at the top last night. Mike H and John S shot a sweet 12 down to take solo possession of First Place, splitting $60. Joe E and Shawn G were one stroke behind, snagging $36. Team Zach shot an awesome round at 10 down to take Third Place and $20. We had several new people last night, which was cool. It looks ... more

It looks to me that my plan to make no duplicate teams from earlier in the season worked. I'm really excited to try that next year, hopefully.
No aces were hit. Rolling Diamond State pot grows to $92.
We have one week left. We'll be at Burns White next Wednesday for the final round. After that, the Top 4 points holders in each of the Pro and Am divisions will go on to play in a special final round (filmed/edited) at a later date. Here's the current standings:
Pro
67 - John Sanders
66 - Shawn Guynes
65 - Tom Coffin
64 - Mitch Trotter
Am
65 - Jim Hunnicutt
63 - Mike Hettinger
55 - Joe Escobedo
52 - Taylor Polk
Zach Scott is one point out in the Ams. It's a tight race!
