From the ashes rises the phoenix.
After a 2 month hiatus the Detroit Putter Club returned with our largest crowd ever and pushed our double tap $1,500! Doubling our previous largest pot!
Pew Pew picked up right where he left off going undefeated with newcomer Rick Francis for the second week in a row.
Dalton and the birthday boy Erik Bird fought hard all the way for a second place finish.
All of my league stuff was buried in the rubble. All the money is correct but scores from week 6 may be lost
We are slated to return on February 8th. League will resume as normal
Early this morning the building collapsed. I have very few details at this point but will be updating as I can.
Two big no-no's happened last Tuesday that I was not aware of until later.
1. No outside drinks are allowed in the building.
2. Discs can not go over the track or into the infield when riders are still there.
Another 32 shooters showed up for week 5!
With lefty cheater Jason Austin by his side Cavans bid for 3 in a row was cut down in the finals by newcomer Jimmy D and a blistering 89% performance from Ziggy B.
Tom and Mitsu finish in third being the final team to take an L on the night.
Mike J and Ryan F take fourth.
Chris, Pat, Kevin and Jess all take home an extra point.
$775 in the double tap pot
-$15 for a new roll of raffle tickets
=$760 in the double tap up for grabs
Cavan and new comer Sekai dominated the competition going 5-0, taking down Matt Neal and Teach, making Cavan our first back to back winner of the season. With it being Sekais first and likely only appearance he rides off into the sunset as our only undefeated player ever.
Ziggy and Jake survived 5 straight elimination games and some serious marathon golf to scratch out a third place finish.
Jim and Pat take home fourth, Adam, Mitsu, Kevin and Chris all take home a bonus point.
Week 3 has come and gone and the increased field size seems to be holding strong. 32 shooters came down making it our second largest crowd ever and giving us a perfect field of 16 teams.
Stealing the show on the night was two of the Velodromes favorites Cavan Corcoran and Ashley Tusler. They've been with us since the very beginning and have been paired on a few occasions but were able to take home the victory with 5 straight elimination wins against our second largest and most stacked fi ...

34 players showed up for week 2 making it our largest week ever, smashing our old record of 24 shooters!
With the large influx of new players we have decided to revamp the point system. More points to more spots will be awarded with larger crowds. See the about section for a breakdown.
Mike Jones and Teymour were able to win 4 straight elimination games before falling in the final game of the night to Daymon Pugh and myself.
Kevin Williamson and Eric Scott were able to secure 3rd place ...

Week 1 in the books and with 22 shooters it was our largest 1st week ever!
A couple of Michigans finest showed up, Matt Clark and Ziggy B, and with a couple solid B-pool performances from their partners, Ryan Ryngaert and Ashley Tusler were able to secure 1st and 2nd respectively.
And in 3rd place news Zeke and Matt Neal squeaked out the extra point with a solid team effort being the last team to take an L on the night.
See you next week. Same Battime, same Batdome.
$101 in the double tap pot.
$22 in the playoff pot.

Last night for points
Points are correct but averages will not save for some reason. This happened before but it corrected itself after a few hours. Hopefully it does the same this time.
Top 16 make the playoffs next week. Attendance will be the tie breaker. I will need an RSVP by Sunday night or I’ll have to move down the list.
Double tap will be pulled until all the money is gone tonight.
Tonight is trapper hat night in honor of one of our favorite sons Mitsu! Although he has a playoff spot secure tonight will be his final regular season appearance.
