This is a MATCH PLAY league with 2 divisions; Upper and Lower.
The top 16 players from each division qualify for the Chicagoland Showdown, a single-day match play tournament. This will serve as the championship for the league. 1 Champion from each division will receive a trophy.
Players will be randomly matched against another player from their division.
The point system is designed to level the playing field by rewarding attendance, CTPs, and Aces.
Points:
1 Attendance
4 Match Win
1 CTP
1 Ace
In the event that there is an odd number of players for either division, a 3rd player would be added to a randomly selected match-up creating a 3-way match. Each player will play 2 matches simultaneously. Each match would be worth 2 points.
Tag required ($10)
$10/weekly ($6 CTP, $2 Ace pot, $2 Club fund)
There will be 3 Cash CTPs per week.
If the ace pot is not cleared by the end of the league it will roll into the tournament. If the pot is not cleared by the end of the tournament, there will be a single-hole CTP throw-off for the entire pot.
