Updated Handicaps After last 5 rounds

2021 ADK Match Play Doubles League
Overview: This league is based on a ball golf league that some of my coworkers play in. I love match play and doubles and think this format will transition seamlessly for disc golf. Random draw doubles is fun but being able to pick your partner, a friend or relative adds another level of fun.
Purpose: The purpose of the Match Play Doubles League is to encourage friendly competition among ADK members and non-members; to meet and play with new people of all levels; and to promote the sport of disc golf in the Adirondacks.
Format: The format is handicapped match play alternate drive / best disc doubles from the white tees at Cadyville Rec Park. The 1st two weeks will be played to establish a handicap and then it will be updated weekly. For the 1st 2 weeks I will subtract birdies from Bogeys each round and average together to establish a handicap (example your team shoots 6 birdies, 6 pars and 6 bogeys 6-6=0) your team handicap is a 0. This will continue using the latest 5 weeks of scores to try and maintain an accurate handicap. At the beginning of the match the pairings will subtract handicaps (example my team has a handicap of +3 your team is +5 your team will start the match 2UP). We play hole 1 my team shoots a 3 your team also shoots a 3 so it’s a push and your team is still 2UP. We play hole 2 my team shoots a 2 and your team concedes because you were going to get a 3 your team is now 1UP. The match continues until a team is UP by more holes then there are left to play. After hole 16 your team is 3UP with only 2 holes to play you are declared the winner and the match is over. For purposes of calculating the handicap conceded holes will need a score if you are within the circle add 1 stroke if outside the circle add 2 strokes. If you play less than 18 holes I will still subtract Birdies from Bogeys up to that point.

W L T Record 2pts for a win 1pt for a tie
Alternate Drive/Best Disc from the white tees
Bracket based on record at the end of season to determine place finishers
100% payout to top place finishers based on # of entrants
