Birdies were abounding on this perfect fall day! Jake finished in the top spot shooting a personal best score of 58 that included birdies on holes 1 and 4! Way to go Jake! You’ve come a long way since we started playing back in April! Travis came in second shooting a solid 60 with birdies on holes 6 and 15! Dan took the 3rd place spot shooting a 62 with birdies on holes 1, 12 and 14!

On another note, the league would like to wish Travis the absolute best on his endeavors in the U.S. Marine Corps! Travis you’re a first class dude and will make an awesome Marine! We admire your bravery and salute you! Hoorah!

Thanks to everyone who played this season! It was a great time! We are planning on continuing to play week to week throughout the winter and plan on doing an official league again this spring. Hopefully we’ll see you all then! Have a great and warm winter! Peace!

It must be going to snow! Holy Cow! League co-founder Dan finished in the top spot this week shooting a 62! It actually did snow for a bit on Saturday; ten seconds after Jake says, “Wouldn’t it be cool if it snowed right now?” Nice call Jake! Perfect timing! Once again wind was a major factor as temperatures sunk to their coldest point of the season thus far. A warm fall sun kept things bearable for the 2 lone Shawks that traversed the course at 11am on this blustery day. Travis shot a respectable 62 in these ferocious conditions. John, the 3rd Shawk to play in today’s competition teed off earlier in the morning, was two shots off the lead with a 64. Nice shooting fellas! On an educational note, I learned a valuable lesson as my Frisbee was caught in the spaghetti trees that guard the 17th basket. Use a water bottle to knock disc out of the tree instead of another disc so as not to end up with 2 discs caught in the tree. Just a reminder that we only have two weeks of competition left before the absolutely fabulous, wonderful and spectacular prizes will be awarded for this season outstanding play. We have yet to figure out the proper venue for the awards ceremony (party) so please give us your suggestions! Have a great week and we’ll see you next Saturday!

Wind was a factor in Saturday's play as Travis secured the top spot with a 63 followed by Jake and John with dueling 65's. Good job guys! Surprisingly attendance has been dwindling since we've moved to Saturdays. Please let us know if we need to adjust the tee time to better accommodate our member's schedules. Also we're open to having early and late rounds if that would work better. Thanks for those who made it this week. It was a blast. Hope to see you all next Saturday! Have a great week!

I’m back from my 2 week Shawktacular hiatus! So without further ado I’ll get to the news of the last few weeks!!!

Round 7 Results (October 14)
There were only 2 Shawks brave enough to battle horrendous weather on this the rainiest and windy of fall days. John shot a rock solid 65 while Jen, our only Lady Shawk shot a personal best round of 73! Way to represent guys and congrats Jen on a great score!!!

Round 8 Results (October 21)
Even though the weather was much better, both league co-founders couldn’t make this weeks outing. It appears some solid frolf was played all Shawks in attendance with 3 players breaking 60!!! Colby made his second appearance of the season and handily crushed everyone shooting a 50!!!! Ben and Travis were in pursuit shooting 56 and 59 respectively!!! Solid rounds by everyone!!!

Round 9 Results (October 28)
2 Groups of 4 played this week as this was by far the most competitive round of the season! 7 Shawks were within 5 shots of the lead which was shot by Rich (59) and Jen, our Lady Shawk, was only 12 shots off the lead with another personal best score (71)! Wow!! So Cool! Great Job Everyone!! This is why we started the league and it’s so awesome to see how it's evolved!! Have a great week everyone and remember that next week will be the last Thursday meeting before daylight savings time; after which we’ll be playing Saturdays until the season ends on Dec. 11th.

Well summer did not give way to fall on this warm late September evening. Thanks to all for another strong showing! The newcomer to the league, Colby took the top spot today with an outstanding 2 under 52 followed by Ben, the leader the last two weeks, who shot a 1 over 55. Rich finished in for a tie for third place with league co-founder Jake both shooting 61!!! Way to go guys!!! Excellent rounds by all our leaders! Solid rounds by everyone! Hone your skills this week because it looks like the competition is starting to tighten up! Have a great week and we'll see you next Thursday at 5:30!

Due to the anticipated arrival of tropical depression Nicole on Thursday please play your rounds when you’re able to and then get the scores to either Jake or myself. Our apologies to anyone who didn't receive today's email in time. Please let us know the way you would prefer to be contacted in the future. Jake and myself played our rounds today and by the looks of things, Jake is going to give the leaders a run for their money before its all said and done. Jake matched his score from last week shooting a round of 61 (+7) with a birdie on hole 4! Great shooting Jake!! Way to go low when it counts!!! Ben was once again the low scorer this week squeaking it out by 1 stroke over Travis!! Congrats guys on well played rounds!!! I think we've answered the age old question...
