I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with many more to come for all you old farts. Due to the lack of participation due to covid this year, it is unlikely we will have a 2021 season. On a brighter note, taymouth township, west birch run, has finally agreed to let me re-do the disc golf course. It will be our new home course when we return to play. I am currently working on the new hole 2 which will be a superb natural island hole. Do I dare say top 20 hole in the state? The township already put the dirt out for the landscaped and elevated basket for 1 with a death putt. This course will no longer be a trash course and will be quite worthy with 6 park holes to open up the arm and 12 wooded holes that will all be revamped and lengthened. With longs and shorts on all the holes. I encourage all to give the course a try next summer. And as always, keep em in the fairway.

Had a great time out at the Pines. I cannot thank Josh enough for the time, effort and money he kicks towards this league/club. I was a bit disappointed that only three of us could find our way out to the Pines on Saturday. I know we are all busy and it has been a weird year. I suggest moving forward that we has some kind of RSVP for the league finale. I guess I will also ask if anyone has any suggestions about the season finale. I know we were bumped up against a couple other tournaments, but it does not seem like a ton of our members were playing. Format, calendar, venue....what is preventing you old guys from coming out to a relaxed afternoon of fun, with lunch on Josh???

Congratulations to Ron Simpson 3rd, Jim Stack 7th, and Paul Holstein 9th for top 10 finishes in MA50 and Craig Clingan 3rd, Jeff Hill 4th, and John Minicuci 6th for top 10 finishes in MA60. Thursday is the Lost and Found Round at Hudson Mills, the Original Course. I know I said it would start about 5, but, I have been putting in some extra time at work this week. Sooo, I may be able to get out about 2, which would put me at Hudson Mills about 3, soo, we can start some time after 3.

COVID talk. Hand sanitizer will be available and WILL be used at the check in. You WILL wear your masks. You WILL be socially distant prior to heading out to the course. And after the round.

Last week I announced that there was the opportunity for a double hit on the ace pool. One for TWIZBEE and one for the Lost and Found. Well, two guys last week took one of those pools away from you. I'm. So. Sorry. But, with your $20 entry for the Lost and Found, $5.00 goes into the 50/50 ace pool. So, there's that. The ace pool CTP hole, in the event no one hits an ace, will be hole #3.Yeah, I know. Makin' ya work for it.

It has been confirmed. Discraft is providing vouchers for the top three places. $100.00 for first, $50.00 for second and $25.00 for third. In the event of a tie, guts frisbee at 10 paces with a Destroyer. Nah. Not really. 15 paces. Blindfolded. Oh, we'll figure something out.

The Reverse Raffle is still on. $2.00 gets you 3 chances at the Kestrel disc golf bag and ONE chance to pull a ticket out of the drawing and "lose" it. But not before the number is called and the loser can pull a prize from the Homer Bucket of Goodies. Hopefully everybody goes home a winner.

Did I mention the trophy for first place? There will be a trophy for first place. There. Mentioned.

I'd like to thank everyone who gave us discs they had found or ones they no longer had a use for. Randy "Shide-Arm" Shideler comes to mind for donating 27 discs. That was quite generous. Thank you.

He came through, it's kind of his thing. I asked that he get something from somebody, didn't care who, for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Discraft, God love 'em, is sending over some vouchers. I don't want to announce how much they are for until we have them in hand and I can verify the amounts. So, stay tuned.

Did I mention the custom trophy being put together as we speak? It may not be the biggest, but it will be the grandest. In my opinion.

We have enough discs for 45 players. 51 if we count the 6 extra drivers we have. 10 lucky players will get an extra disc in their bag to use during the round. $20 gets you in for the round AND a 50/50 ace pool, also for North Star Reach.

And, the Reverse Raffle. $2.00 gets you three chances at a Kestrel bag and ONE chance to pull a ticket out of the pile BEFORE the drawing for the bag and "lose" it. I just hope you don't pull one of your own tickets out. That, would, suck! Oh, since this is TWIZBEE, if your ticket is "lost", you will still win something. August 27th is rapidly approaching. The Lost and Found round at Hudson Mills. Please see the previous comment for some of the details. Not much has changed. Still $20 for the two discs and a bag. $5.00 of that goes into 50/50 ace pool. Still doing the Reverse Raffle.

We will have an ace pool CTP for this event in case no one hits an ace. I'm thinking hole 17 on the Original course. Also, since this is a TWIZBEE league round that all are invited to, IF you have played with TWIZBEE this year, you are eligible for at least a part of our ace pool which currently stands at about $573. If you have played at least 3 rounds with us, you qualify for 100% of the pot; less than that, 20%. That is still $115.00. Soooo, come on out on the 27th, Hudson Mills and help us raise funds for North Star Reach and their course improvement.

just a quick plug for the TWIZBEE Lost and Found Round on the 27th.

The premise is simple. We have been scouring the countryside in search of lost discs. As of now, we have about 100. For the round, which is a fundraiser for North Star Reach, you pay $20. In return you will receive a bag, two lost and found discs and $5.00 of the entry fee will go to a 50/50 ace pool, with 50% going to North Star Reach. Go ahead and Google this organization, but, please wait until you have read this whole spiel.

We are also working out the details of the reverse raffle. This is something that Groot and I concocted over the weekend in the blistering heat at Independence Lake. For $2.00, you get 3 chances at a Kestrel disc golf bag. That takes care of $1.00. The other dollar gives you the opportunity to pull a ticket from the bin and "lose" it. It could fall on the ground and hide under a foot, it could blow away in the wind or even a crazed Nuthatch could swoop down and whisk it away. But first, we will call out that number, because, being TWIZBEE, we have trinkets. So, to recap, for $2.00, three tickets go in and one comes out. If this works out, I will take full credit. If not, blame Groot.

The round will be at Hudson MIlls, a park large enough to hold tens of players. Course TBD. Possible start time, 5 ish. On August 27th. I'll have more details as to the raffle start time. We could always use more discs and I need paper grocery bags. (what?, you thought you were getting a REAL disc golf bag?!?. Maybe someday, just no that day. thanks for reading. Hey Josh - I have a question, during a tournament, how do you handle the tags? Each individual round, or the tourney as a whole? ex. player A (lower number) shoots 50/55 for a tourney total of 105, player B shoots 56/54 for a tourney total of 110, but had a lower score on second round. I think it should go according to whole tourney, what say you leader of the graying, and the infirm?

At this point, there are only 7 followers, so we're not hitting a very big audience. The reason for my post, is that I was surprised to see a "Final Notice" for the first time. :)
