Thanks everyone to a great season. Once again it was a competitive yet fun atmosphere and it was great to see all the new faces. Now for the season's awards. Ben and Ed have received the 'Funnest Team to Play With' award. Isaac and Peter Jackson receive 'Rookie of the Year' honors with a spectacular first season. Tracy and Chris Rogers have won the 'Sportsmanship Award' mainly in part to Tracy's willingness to climb any tree to retrieve a person's disc. If there are any other awards that seem appropriate feel free to post them. Happy shooting everyone.

The season has almost come to an end. The first round of the playoffs was a battle as Ryan and James Binkley took on Glen Anderson and Jerry Evans. After taking a one hole lead on the first hole the Binkleys carried that lead late into front 9 until surrendering the match tying hole on the 8th. Glen and Jerry took one more hole on the back 9 to win the match 1 up after 18 holes. This was bitter sweet revenge for the ultimate frisbee turned disc golf players as last year they bowed out in the tourney to the Binkleys. With Talon Goodhand headed back to the lower 48, Bobb Lockwood found the supersub in Ben Cobb and together ousted Erik H and his brother Nick from the tourney. In the other first round action Josh 2.0 soundly defeated Jon Bradish and Nic Coltman while Dyaln Townsend and Cameron Chase sent a scrapy team of Isaac Jackson and Peter Jackson packin with a 4 and 3 victory.
The second round tested nerves as it came down to the final four. Josh 2.0 took on the hot and rising team of Jerry and Glen. Ultimately Josh 2.0 wore down the duo of DJs and won 4 and 3. On the other side of the bracket was the match-up of Bobb and Ben vs. Dylan and Cam. The front 9 became a battle with little or no budge from either team as Dylan and Cam turned a one hole lead into two with a birdie on the 9th to take a two hole lead into the back. Turning a couple birdes and thanks to missed puts Dylan and Cam took a four hole lead into the 14th hole. With a park-job by Bobb and a string of birdies Bobb and Ben narrowed the gap to a one hole lead with two left to play. In the end Dylan and Cam fought off the defending champ with a run of their own birds. Next is the championship matchup -first seeded Josh 2.0 vs second seeded Dylan and Cam. The championship match was scheduled for Aug. 16th but has been rescheduled for Aug. 25th at 6:00pm.
