Pretty even teams last night.. We played one round of blues followed by a round of reds. Daemon-Fortch and Frame-Tim ended up running away with it in the end. The "pros" did a fair amount of work on both teams making lots of putts and long drives. Both Tim and Fortch also came through with some big drives and both teams deserved the win. I was hanging back one stroke behind the leaders at Hole 4 during the 2nd "reds" round. Then my deuce putt hit the side of the cage and rolled 30 feet away down to the bottom of the plateau. I missed that putt to take a killer 4, putting me three strokes out at that point. After that I just threw two drives on every hole to try and grab the ace pot. Almost got it on hole 6 - twice. Tim P also hit cage on hole 6. Good fun round overall in off and on rain. Finished by 9:30pm which wasn't too bad.

Good league last night. We started around 7:45 and finished at 10:45. 18 holes were played with two groups most of the time then a joinup for the last 4 holes. Good competition with Romine and Garr ... show more ›

Good league last night. We started around 7:45 and finished at 10:45. 18 holes were played with two groups most of the time then a joinup for the last 4 holes. Good competition with Romine and Garrett sitting at -5 after 9 and everyone else at -2. Thought they would run away with it but come to find out they were STILL at -5 after hole 5 on the 2nd round and Scott-Fortch and Ian-Tim had moved to -4. The 8th hole turned out to be the decider when Romine and Garrett both hit stuff on their upshots and Scotts upshot went true through the gap. Ian-tim took a couple bogeys (maybe the larger group was unsettling to them). Romine and Garrett took a bogey on 8 to move to a tie with Scott and Fortch. On hole 9 Romine missed the 20 foot par putt and Garrett calmly stepped up and sent it home for the tie on the evening.
