We had 12 people come out to McCourtie Park for 18 holes of singles for our final round of the GRU Berth Run to decide who gets berths to the Michigan Disc Golf Championships.

Tyler Schoening absolutely destroyed the course shooting a -12 with a bogey for the win and $20 first place money. This is likely the course record and would probably be in the 1040-1050 range for a rating.
Coming in second, we had a tie between The Champ and Jeff Freeland at -1. The Champ won by default because Jeff had left the course before the throw off. The Champ took $15 second place money and Jeff took $8 third place money. There was a throw off for fifth place at even par, Tpills took it down and took home $5 last cash.

Jay Day took the $12 cash CTP on hole 18. Jared Glover took the merch CTP on hole 2. The Champ took the CTP on hole 10 for a sweet Glow Gator.

Ace Pool is up to $888 and will be active for Sunday Doubles. We had a great season. Thanks to everyone who came out and played this year.

Congratulations to Tyler Schoening for winning the overall point series and getting himself a Berth to the Michigan Disc Golf State Championships! You totally earned it with stellar golf all season. Tyler had the hot round for 15 out of 17 rounds of the Berth Run series and totally dominated the league overall. Also winning a berth was Christopher Otis. This was due to the people above him not taking the berth, but Otis definitely earned it by coming to every round and battling all season. Congrats guys and good luck at States!

We had 10 pro players and 5 am players out to Ella Sharp Park for a Fourth of July round of 18 holes. Unfortunately we got rained on a little at the end of the round.

On the PRO side we had Nick Masters of Prodigy Discs shooting the course blind and still bringing in the hot round of -5 for the win and $20 first place money. Tyler Schoening shot a -3, taking $13 second place money. Jared Stoll of Westside Discs shot a -1 and won the three way throw off for $7 last cash.

On the AM side we had Mikey Travis shooting the hot round of +6 for the win and $10 merch. Kelly Laderoot beat most of the boys with a +8 for second place and $10 merch. Dennis Barr shot a +9 and won the throw off for $5 merch last cash.

Otis took the $15 cash CTP on hole 1. Nick took the $10 merch CTP on hole 11. Mikey took the merch CTP on hole 14. Tyler got the CTP on 5 and won the sweet 100k Jomez signed buzzz that Jared put up as a fund raiser.

We had seven Pro players and six Am players come out to Jackson College for 18 holes of singles.

On the Pro side, we saw Tyler Schoening take it down with a scorching round of -10 and took $18 first place money. In Second place, Casey Cook tied Joel Coppernoll at -7. Casey took down the throw off and walked away with $10 second place money.

On the Am side, we saw Jacob Covell and Brandon Covell both shoot -1 for the hot round. Brandon won the throw off and took $15 in merch for first place. Jacob took $10 merch for second. Mikey Travis shot a +2 to take $5 merch for the third place payout.

Joel took the $10 cash CTP on hole 5. A-A-Ron Gabrielse took the $10 merch CTP on hole 6.

Ace Pool is up to $638. We are at Ella Sharp Park next Thursday at 5:30pm. We might have some special guests next week. Fingers crossed!

Tpills and Jared Stoll of Westside Discs both shot the hot round of even par. Jared won the throw off taking $13 first place cash. Tpills got $7 and second place.

Tpills also won the $5 cash CTP on hole 16.

Tyler Schoening and The Champ both had the hot round of -6 on the day. The Champ lived up to his name, winning the the throw off and winning $20 first place money. Tyler took $13 second place money. Joel Coppernoll took third place and $7 last cash with his -5.

Jared Stoll of Westside Discs won the $10 cash CTP. Joel won the merch CTP.

Once again, Tyler tore it up and shot the hot round at -8 for the win and $17. Casey Cook and Joel Coppernoll tied for second at -5 and each got $7.50 for their efforts.

Casey parked hole 5 to win the $8 cash CTP. Joel won the merch CTP on hole 7.

Tyler Shoening once again shot the hot round with a -4. Otis, Joel Coppernoll and Tpills tied for second at a -3. Joel won the throw off for $13, Otis was second closest and won $10, Tpills was third closest and won $8. Casey Cook took $5 last cash with his -2.

We had 8 optimistic people show up this Thursday for 18 wet holes of singles at McCourtie Park. Luckily the rain pretty much went away by the time we got started.

Tyler Shoening showed us how it is done, shooting a -7 for the win and $17. This is the fourth week in a row he has shot the hot round! Joel Coppernoll shot a -2 for second place and $10. Big Country got $5 last cash for his -1.

Joel got the merch CTP on hole 14 for a Z-flx Crank. Otis Parked hole 4 and won the $8 cash CTP.

We had 14 players out for a windy round of singles out at Ella Sharp Park this Thursday.

Casey Cook aced hole 16 and took home $254 from the ace pool. A perfect hyzer that fought the wind and landed dead center chains in the elevated basket. Congrats on the ace!

Tyler Schoening defied the wind and was the only person to shoot under par. He shot a -2 for the win and $20. Casey Cook shot even par and tied Jared Stoll of Westside Discs for second place. Casey won the throw off taking home $13 second place money. Jared took $10 third place money. Kankles and Joel Coppernoll tied at +2 for the last two cashing spots. Kankles won the throw off taking $8 fourth place money and Joel took $5 last cash.

Joel also won the two merch CTPs on holes 6 and 7, winning a Nuke and a Wizard. Otis took the $14 cash CTP by parking hole 1.

Tyler Schoening tore it up in the wind, shooting -6 for the win and $21. Jared Stoll shot a solid -4 for second and $16. Casey Cook shot a -1 for third place and $9. Malachi Peterson shot even and won the three way throw off for $6 last cash.

Bryce won the merch CTP by parking hole 15. Tpills won the $13 cash CTP on hole 5.

We had 15 players out for a beautiful, windy day at McCourtie Park for singles this Thursday.

Jared Stoll and Tyler Schoening tied it up at the top with two really solid -6 rounds. Jared won the throw off with a super park job on hole 1 winning $20. Tyler took $13 for second. Casey Cook shot a -5 to take third place and $11.

Tyler also won the merch CTP on hole 4 winning a wonderful Discraft hat that he really liked. Jared also won the $15 cash CTP on hole 14.

Top two players after 18 weeks get berths for the Michigan State Championships.

We will be alternating between McCourtie, Jackson College and Ella Sharp. The last two weeks are at McCourtie. The schedule is up on the Scene.
