League members got to celebrate another great season with a culminating high-low doubles tournament last night. Congrats to the winning team of Zander/Travis James and Jared Monsma, shooting a 49.

Also congrats to our league champion Trevor Hofman. He averaged an even 55 over the course of the season to take the scoring title, while also posting 115 points in the handicap department to claim the title there as well. This is the first time this has been accomplished.

Two berths to the MDGO State Finals presented by Discraft were also awarded last night. Zäck Murray and Thatcher Berends will be representing the league in Ludington in two weeks. Good luck!

Finally, Anchor Party Store was kind enough to donate a beautiful MVP basket to the league this year. Each week, the CTP winner for the Anchor Party Store-sponsored hole was entered into a raffle. The drawing was last night and the winner is: drum roll Jacob Arvidson.

In an underwhelming turnout for the final week of the season, but on a beautiful night nonetheless, we witnessed one final shift in the standings as players jockeyed for a position on the podium. Randy Singletary scratched and clawed his way to a third place finish in overall scoring after his performance last night, while Zäck Murray leapfrogged his way into second in the adjusted scoring race.

Awards will be given out next week at the conclusion of high-low doubles.

Next week Thursday, August 15, we will be holding the members-only, high-low doubles tournament. All league members are automatically entered. ($5 per member for those who didn't pay in full at the beginning of the season).

The players meeting will be at 5:15pm and tee off will be at 5:30pm. Please arrive prior to 5:15 to ensure you get checked in.

The post-season awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the high-low doubles, so prepare to stay a few extra minutes for that.

Week 14 brought another strong turnout. Still no aces, so next week will be everyone's final crack at the pot!
Several more hot scores last night, highlighted by Todd Tracy's second hot round in a row with a 50. Trevor Hofman's 52 vaulted him into first place in the overall scoring race, but Thatcher Berends is right behind with just one week to play. Hofman's 52 also seems to have put a strangle-hold on the adjusted scoring title, though miracles can happen in Week 15.

Thanks to everyone who came out to Week 13 of the season. The scores were the hottest they've been all season. Thirty-three percent of the field shot par or lower for the first time all season, highlighted by the 49s posted by Todd Tracy and Andrew Hennebry.

Trevor Hofman tightened his grip on the adjusted scoring title, though Zäck Murray is suddenly charging up the leaderboard with two weeks to play. In the overall scoring race, Trevor Hofman and Thatcher Berends look poised for a photo finish where every stroke is going to be huge.

Another strong turnout on another beautiful night for hucking. Reid Frescura posted the hot round at 51, while Travis James made up some ground in the points race with an adjusted 48.5. Trevor Hofman has moved back in front in the points race, but not by much as we are in for quite the battle down the stretch. Thatcher Berends posted another consistent round and keeps his name atop the scoring leaderboard.

This course update was necessary purely for safety reasons. Several different players expressed concerns with giant lefty-backhand hyzers or righty-backhand anhyzers intentionally throwing over the trees into the fairways of holes 6, 10, 11 and 14 in an attempt to play their second shot directly up the driveway toward the pin. This will ensure the protection of everyone. If anyone has any questions on how to play this mando, just find me before you tee off tonight. Thanks for understanding!

Thanks to everyone who came out last night. It was a hot one! Danny Bast and Bill Hook came out firing and put up respectable sub-47s in the adjusted scoring department.

Austin Stuk made a move and took over first place in the handicap scoring race, followed closely by a slew of competitors. On the scoring average side, Thatcher Berends (55.43) leads six others by less than two strokes. Both races should be fun to watch down the stretch. *Don't forget the handicap scoring only counts your 10 highest scoring rounds and the overall average drops your best and worst scores.

Next week is the 4th of July, so stay tuned for announcements on that. LEAGUE WILL STILL BE ON, but tee times may be adjusted.
