After much deliberation, here is the info on how the last week will work.

YOU CAN ONLY PLAY THE LAST WEEK IF YOU HAVE PLAYED BEFORE...

There will be no buy in for the final week ace pool.

The $1936 will be divided into $900 for A Pool, And $900 for B Pool.

Each hole will have a $100 CTP for each division.

If someone hits an Ace, they take the whole ace pot and ctp's are null and void.

The remaining $136 will given away via raffle tickets. Each player will receive a raffle ticket upon signing up.

See you on the 14th of April for the final week.

We had second winter to contend with last Sunday. The largest field of the season turned out to try and get the big ace pool. Nobody hit it but I heard many a tale of people coming close. Most notably was Josh D. hitting the front of the basket from 23. In the last week (April 14th) we will be having a big money CTP on each basket. So 9 CTP's total. Unless we play all 24, in that case 12 CTP's (More Likely.) If an ace is hit on this day all the CTP's are null and void and the ace wins all the money.
Back to week 21 update. In the CTP department, Brandon D took home the special Buzzz sent by discraft with the disc order, and the Buzzz OS donated by Jeff Novak. That was on hole 24!
In the A Pool, Ryan Herzog battled with three penalty strokes to take home first with 4 under par. Myself and Nate Kretz tied for second with a 3 under par.
In the B Pool, Mike Wood took home first with a 2 over par. I bet he wishes he saved that ace from earlier in the week for Sunday, but still always nice to get one in on the tee shot. Tying for second place was Mike Handley and Duncan Underwood with a 3 over par. Great shooting guys. I have club discs for sale, and those members that have glass bag tags, whom haven't collected theirs, can do so on the 14th. Supporting the club is very much appreciated, as it gives me funds for next years league for cool prizes and ctps. It's been my pleasure to start this league and I'm looking forward to many Winter seasons at Spindler ahead. Thanks guys!

For the second week in a row the league course record was broken. This time Skyler beat his own best with an 11 under par. Very impressive shooting, especially since he got 7 out of the 9 on the back. In second place in the A pool Dalton was right there with him all round with a 9 under par, tying the previous course record. In third Chris Laity had a solid round with an 8 under par.
In the B pool. tying at the top with a 2 under was Trevor Edmonds and Mike Handley. Nice shooting guys, in 3rd with an even par round was Tom Carpenter. I'm hoping to get the 3 hill holes put in for next week. The ground seems to be in good shape. We are in talks about what to do in the event that the ace pool isn't hit. Some ideas are: An ace race, big money CTP's, or rollover to next season. Let me know what you want to do with your money. See you next week:)

Today was a great day for a round of golf. We had 42 players show up with 8 newcomers. In the A pool, Skyler shot the league record with a 9 under par. Way to go Skyler! In second place, newcomer to the league Ryan Herzog, finished his round with 6 birdies to slide into 2nd. That was fun to watch. Tieing for third place are the two Jeffs, Bauman and Novak. In the B pool, Tom Carpenter and Trevor Edmonds tied for first with an even par round. Jim Bridges would of placed solo third but only got in on the ace pool. Next week I suggest you get in on the bet Jim, nice shooting! That means tied for third are, Mike Wood, and Dustin Courtney, nice shooting guys. Newcomer to the league Heidi Matheson absolutely parked hole 12, winning the CTP prize that was a bottle of KBS stout (donated by Tom J,) and a sweet Rox X3 (donated by Chris Laity.) The ace pot climbs to 1541, I might have to get a separate bank account for it, that way it will gain interest at least;) See you all next week, only 3 weeks left.

All rated scores from the league will be included in the April 9th ratings update. In order to be included in the March 19th ratings update, our league would of had to submit by Feb 24th and the league wasn’t over until last week. We still have 4 weeks left of league but the sanctioning is over. I just submitted the league report including the windy and icey days we had so there will be some fluctuating round ratings. In A pool, Skyler shot a solid -5 in the wind, he said his putter was doing work for him. Dalton and Chef tied for second with a -1. In the B pool, Mike Sims won with a 59, Handley got 2nd with a 62 and Dustin took third with a 63. That was quite a round yesterday with 40 mph gusts. See you all next week.

Skyler won the CTP which was donated by Justin (Mint Alpha) and Jeff B ( team Stony towel and sticker.). The ace pot drew the largest turnout yet with 42 participants. Tomorrow is the last week of sanctioning, there are 4 weeks left of league after that. I placed the order for club stamped discs from Discraft. I’m sure I’ll see what should be a full field tomorrow despite the wind and mud. See you there.

The meteorologists were right, just like clockwork the wind picked up at right about 9:30. Many disc warriors came out today showing that they can withstand the forces of nature. The Chef shot a hot round on the front with 4 birdies, coming in at 26. Jeff Novak shot the hot round on the back at 1 over tieing for 2nd with yours truely. The CTP was donated by Ben Caverly (Chain Gang Destroyer.) It was won by Bob Turner on hole 21, nice shot Bob. In the B pool, Ben Caverly won with a 66, in second for the second week in a row, Mike Sims, 67. In third Josh D with a 69. That was an interesting round to say the least. We had our best turnout last week with 33 guys, nice to see the course full. Especially on a day with ice covering 80 percent of the fairways and greens. That lead to a lot of slide aways and rollaways. Skyler won A pool with a 4 under par. Ty took home second and also won the CTP on hole 9/21. Benny G took home 3rd with an impressive 53. In the B pool new comer James Squires won with a 1 over par. In second Mike Sims shot a 56 and coming in 3rd Nathan Underwood shot a 58. Nice shooting guys. The CTP consisted of 2 discs a mini and a bowl of Chef Shultes famous Ice bowl winning chili. That's a spicy meat-ta-balla.

Week 14 (6th sanctioned) in review. A lot of new faces and some familiar ones that are just getting to the league. Welcome to all the new league members. Pleasure to have you join us for our weekly Sunday morning ritual. The Hawk had a fresh kill on display on hole 13, that was really interesting that he moved it to the top of the fence pole halfway through the round. Taking home the A pool, Jeff Novak had a steller round with a 6 down overall, 5 down on the back 9. Chef took home second place with a nice round pulling under on the front and back to card a 4 down (his first time playing the course, welcome!.) Joe P swoops in with a 2 under on the front and 1 down on back to take home 3rd. In the B pool, with a tie at the top, Jake Schneider and Mike Sims locked horns at 2 over, Jake with a 2 down on the back and Sims with a birdie on hole 12 and 24! Nice shooting guys. New comer Dave Banninger took home 3rd with 57. Great week overall, glad to see the league growing, the exposure really helps the course with the neighbors seeing us using and respecting the park. Last week, in a galaxy far far away.... The weather was very cold with a steady wind and ice under some baskets. Dalton took home the A pool with a 6 under par shooting a league record 9 birdies. In the B pool, Dustin Courtney took home first with a 59, edging out Handley and Jake by one stroke. The 2 ctp prizes were donated by Jeff Novak (Discraft Titanium Crank SS) and Bob Turner (Discraft Titanium Buzzz.) That was won by Bobbo B on hole 12/24.

New comer to the league Rick Stables shot a hot round on the front with a 29, also taking home 1st in the Advanced division. The rec division was won by Bob Turner for his 4th win in a row, also shooting the hot round on the back with a 26. Way to go Bob, nice shooting! I have to contact the PDGA to fix the league sheet on their website, it doesn't show the scores for this week. FYI. We got bad luck on the snow timing again with it coming overnight. The pads were shoveled and salted before the round, thanks for the help Tom J! Again if the snow had come just a little earlier the city sidewalk plow would of had all the pads done. He came while we were halfway through our round and plowed and salted everything. See you all next week!

We all felt the brisk 0 degree winds smack us in the face many times today. 20 mile an hour gusts were hard to navigate at times, but still, if you love this game, nothing can stop you. As Jake put it, there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. Bob Barkers propane hand warmer also is a huge help. He took home the advanced division blowing out of the gate with a 25 on the front 9. It was the Bob and Bob show today, as Bob Turner took home the Rec division with a solid 28 on the front. The timing of the storm couldn't of been worse for us this week, if it would have come just 10 hours before all the pads would have been plowed by the city sidewalk plow. So in the future i expect we will be in better shape, even though I had them all shoveled, the blow over is tough. See you ALL next week. Get out and Throw!

We couldn't do CTP's today because the ground was frozen. Thanks to Justin for donating a disc, we will figure out a way to do CTP next week. A par score was good enough to take home the Advanced division, due to the steady brisk wind. Noah Carroll took home first in Rec. Overall a good turnout for a freezing morning in January. I'm still working on finalizing the member gift, just so you guys know. The Ace Pot is up to 446, with many a tale of coming close, but alas, no cigar. See you ALL next week.

Last Sunday we had a nice turnout for some really nice weather. I took home the Advanced division and Bob Turner took down the Rec. CTP's went to myself (Motor City Chain Gang Crank donated by Jeff Novak.) The other CTP (MVP Wave donated by me) went to Tom J. Come on out tomorrow at 10:30 for week 11. See you there. Solid day of Sunday league is in the books. 12 guys came out to send off 2018 in style.

There was a tie at the top of the advanced division, with newcomer Chris Laity, and Dalton Puckhaber locking horns at 1 under par. Also, there was a tie for the 3rd spot in the ADV that was thrown off with a safari hole (1 to 8's basket.) Which was par'd by all so also needed ctp on hole 9 to solidify it, with Novak cashing in with a nice Ace bid. Earlier in the round Novak birdied hole 10 with a nice 75 foot putt becoming, as far as I know, the second guy to birdie that hole.

The Rec division was taken down by veteran Bob Turner, turning in a solid two over par score. Hole 3 seemed to be the gatekeeper today holding down a solid 15 over par on the field. Averaging a 4.25 over par overall, by the way. the only two players to par it where the Pampalona bros, making a return to the league after a short hiatus.
Sidenote:12 was birdied by 2/3rds of the field.

CTPs donated by Dalton and Novak were taken home by Schiller and Laity, two new discs each.

Ace pot is up to 336, and seems to be tilting ready to be spilt.

Dalton came out this morning ready to play and took down the Advanced "field" by one stroke with the help of his fiance caddie. Brendan took home the CTP point on hole 12/24. The new mando on hole 4 literally took a bite out of my teebird. The Rec field was won with a hot round of 52 by Tom J. Mike F. took home the Discraft Ringer (donated by Jeff Novak) on the CTP hole 2/14. The Ace pot was rung a couple times today but no one spilled it over. It climbs to 286. For next week we will be doing a prize for most putts made outside the jump putt line. Also there will be many CTP's to celebrate the holidays. Also if you have a disc you got for xmas and you want to trade we will be having a Disc Swap before the round as well.

This week a new division rule was put into effect, separating the Advanced from the Intermediate/Rec players. The Advanced pool was won by Jeff Novak in part by a scorching hot back 9 carding 4 birdies and 1 unlucky bounce for bogey on hole 24. The Recreation division was won by Mike Wood with help from a nice 26(-1) on the front 9. The Adv ctp of a Discmania Ddx (donated by yours truly) was won by Dalton. The rec ctp donated by Jay Moyer and Suburban Disc golf Club of a DX Roc was won by Tom J. See you next week for some Xmas money ace runs.

5 players turned out in the just below freezing temps with a southern wind gusting at 8mph. In the end Joe P. came through with his forehand hyzer on hole 24, sticking it 15 feet from the pin. Everyone else on the card went OB. That broke the tie at the top and sent home the victor with the spoils. Byrd Scott hit two nice jump putts to card a respectable +4, if it hadn't been for his mistake on 22, he would of been in the running at the end. Nice to see Miyagi out there showing us some interesting lines I haven't even thought of. Justin was hitting it hard off the tee but struggled to get his upshots to tame in the blustery winds if East Detroit. Looking forward to next week and the increased ace pot, making things that much more interesting. See you then.
